It’s often hard to believe how fast our little pups grow up. I took Brody back to Kensington again on Saturday. Here are some pics from our visit two months ago, then pics from our visit on Saturday.
I’m keeping an eye out for cute single ladies. Dad says I’m supposed to be a “magnet”…(7/21)
Two months later, still no luck with the “chick magnet” thing…(9/27)
Heading out on the “hike & bike” paths.(7/21)
Now he pulls me along at a fast pace when on the bike paths. (9/27)
It’s really hot, so we take a break. (7/21)
Taking a break now, no need for lying down on the job though.(9/27)
Back at the truck it’s time for a drink and to chomp a frozen water bottle.(7/21)
Back at the Jeep, it’s time for a bowl of water. No frozen water bottle this time!(9/27)
Then at the end of the day Brody decided to stack himself (kind of) to show off his new harness:
Yep… check me out. This one is for all the ladies…
So be sure and take a bajillion photos of your puppies. In just a couple of short months, they won’t be puppies anymore!
Wow Lee, Brody looks like a chick magnet to me. Even tho I see him weekly @ Gustavo’s, the difference and changes are incredible. I love the self stack, he sure knows how to turn on the charm and good looks.
Great shots of that handsome devil! I think Roman was little for 2 days…seriously. We should have an A-T get together at Kensington with everyone else that’s near by.
We really need to soon! I asked Julie about this awhile ago and she said she would come over to our side of the state for this if we organized it. Any Saturday would be best for me!
He’s so cute/handsome! I like his gear, I didn’t realize he was a Service Dog.
Oh he’s no service dog yet! I am still getting to know him and what areas he might be of use in. I would really like to get him his CDT title at some point, no matter what else he ends up doing. I am going to have him evaluated soon now that he is just past his “bite everything that moves/smells/looks at me funny” phase. I use those patches when we go out to the parks or in public because people seem to pay more attention to him, and they like hearing about how he might become a therapy dog or search and rescue dog, etc.
Parents also seem to notice his patches and ask if their kids can come up and pet him, as opposed to just letting their kids run up and pet a puppy!
Gotcha. Just make sure they know that you typically *can’t* pet a Service Dog on duty and that a SD is a different classification than therapy dogs, SAR, LEO, etc. (My husband and I do dog bite prevention and SD education for his elementary school, with Nikon’s help of course!)
Yep, that’s why I have the patches, since we train out at so many different areas. I can easily tell people, “I’m sorry, but you can’t pet him at the moment, we are training” and they seem to understand. I usually tell them that if they are still around when we are done they would be welcome to pet him and give him treats. This works great for when I am training him to be neutral around crowds, kids, other dogs, etc.
he is so handsome!
Lee,
He is absolutely stunning.
He was back then but now… even more!
He is getting so big!
I can’t believe how much he looks like a big dog! How handsome.
Lee,
Brody is soooo handsome. He has really grown and looks like a big boy now.
Looking forward to seeing you and Brody at NASS.
