I uploaded a bunch of photos from the show to Fenris’s facebook page. (Yes, the fluff monster has his own page. Don’t ask me how he learned to use the computer. I blame the Allie genes for making him too smart for his own good)
Most of the photos are of club member’s dogs but, here are the Alta-Tollhaus highlights.
Aiden practicing his stack
Finding his microchip

Ziva in the ring
Ziva being inspected
Fenris at bitework practice before the breed survey

Having his teeth checked (I’d been working with Fenris for *weeks* to get him comfortable with this so, to me, this was a huge accomplishment)

In case you can’t understand it:
- Rated Very Promising
- Male of the right size
- Very good proportions, length to height
- Very good pigmentation
- Very expressive head with dark mask
- Very good top and underline
- Very good position and length of croup
- Very good angulation of front and rear
- Straight front
- Nice movements
- Good presentation
- Needs to firm up hocks
VPs all around!
“Very expressive head with a dark mask… a very expressive male.” — that’s an Allie boy alright!
You were so smart to record the comments. I loved hearing them, felt like I was there! It will be fun to see the Fluff Monster strut his stuff at NASS. I’ll email you about my road schedule — I’ll probably be arriving a day or two later than you, but might be fun to caravan home.
The recording was all James’s idea. I was off to the right side trying to keep Fenris’s attention and couldn’t hear much of the critique.
I’m really not sure how to ‘firm up’ his hocks but, a few people mentioned that it’s pretty normal for a puppy and it’ll improve over time.
Presi, give me a call, I must not have hit the save on my cell phone w/your number.
Left a voicemail for you
Super to see all the pictures and posts from the Orange County show.
It was nice to meet you, James and Fenris in person.
See you at NASS!!
Very nice critique!
