At first my oldest, Sam, thought it was a boa and said it was a dream come true and we WERE keeping it. Then he realized it was “just a rat snake” and it was relocated a couple of miles away.

Holy cow, that is awful! I would probably never go in the house again. I am so afraid of snakes.
You made me check the top of all my drapes this morning. 🙂
I can handle all animals but I hate-hate-hate snakes. They are at the top of my nightmare list.

AAAAAggggggh! “Not OK” alert! My husband knows that would’ve been my last night in the house. And I agree with Orly–snakes are at the top of my nightmare list! Small, large, venomous, non-venomous; doesn’t matter. I’m terrified of them all. I know, I know, all the “keep the natural balance” stuff, but if there is one in the yard, the men in my family know they have a mission. An immediate mission. Snakes and I have too much history, and it’s bad history.

What is funny is how many people said they wouldn’t go back in the house because I put this on my FB page too.
I don’t know if I would be more scared sleeping thinking there was a roach or a snake on the loose in my room.
Sam had a ball python a few years ago and I slept one night knowing it was loose – it had escaped. Not long after, we got rid of it. When he bought it, the guy described it as “an excellent starter snake” which I thought was kind of crazy and funny at the same time…

I am with you I might not ever go back in my house again.
O.M.G.
I found a spider bite on my son’s hand and we bombed the whole house. I don’t like bugs inside my house.
There would have lots of screaming if I see somethign like that in my house!
….didn’t you freak out over a opossum or woodchuck or something like that?
Julie, this is so funny!
LOL! Scarlett, if you were concerned that the MI people were going to come visit you—rest assured! You’ve just ended that deal!
I am OK with snakes outside, but would not be happy to have this inside the house!
uh huh this will keep me up north
