On Saturday, Brody (B-litter Dux x Pala) and Ava (A-litter Ypsilon x Maika) had a play date. We were busy with other things, so the puppies were left to play on their own for the most part. Keep in mind Brody has at least 8 pounds on Ava!
Yeah, my ears are down. Again. So what? I’m still a hunk.
Hey… who is that hottie over there? I think I remember her…
Hmmm… so many things to bite in this yard, so little time…
Let’s see, I’ve bitten the wubba, the tug, the frisbee… if only there was another puppy around for me to bite.
There’s one! Hey Brody! Wait up… I want to tell you something.
I just wanted to say, CHOMP!!!
And oh, by the way… CHOMP!!!
..and then I said CHOMP!!!!
Ava: “Brody you have something on your fur right there.”
Brody, looking down: “Where”?
Ava: “Right th…” CHOMP!!!
Dad!!! She’s crazy… HELP!!!
Michelle steps in to explain how dates are supposed to go.
Ah, relaxing out by the pool… CHOMP!!!
It was a great day for both of them. They played the entire day and into the evening, when we all went out to dinner. Aunt Cadence was babysitting them in the back yard. Brody was so tired that I actually had to wake him up the next morning, instead of the other way around.
Great picture’s Lee, of two beautiful puppies. I love your narration. You cannot read the captions without laughing out loud. Thank you!
I agree. Very funny, although, very accurate captions.
Awesome pictures! Thanks so much for taking and posting them. I am sure this is the first of many dates to come!
Brady wants to give a shout out to Brody….. Thanks Man…I owe ya!! Totally appreciate ya getting Ava off my back, tail, heels, ears, cheeks…well, you know what I mean! I enjoyed a restfull day of peace and relaxation. By the way, I am not sure what you did to that little brat, but she has been sleeping all day. Ahhhh….another day of R&R. Thanks Dude….how about you do a repeat session next weekend?? Ya sure you can’t move closer??? You and Ava look great together…..just sayin!
I am sure we could arrange something for next weekend, and I am actively seeking a job out in that direction so we can move closer! Having a tired out Brody is worth the move!
Lee, I think you may need to send your boy for some marial arts instructions before he has any more dates with Ava.
Dylan says “How about a canine exchange?” He’ll send Aiden to live with Ava and Michelle for a while and Brady can come and hang out here!
Lynda, I am sure Brady would love that! Dylan would be a welcome change of pace for Brady. I sure wish you lived closer, but I am looking forward to seeing you this fall.
I love it! It looks like fun was had by all. Thanks for the post — it definitely made me smile!
Lee, you are waaaay too funny 🙂
Loved the pictures, loved the narration, and loved the pups…
Have you considered binding your blogs into a book? It will be a hit!
Hilarious! What a good sport Brady is. Both he and Ava look fantastic.
Brody is very handsome.
I can’t beleive how much alike Ava and Aiden are. They look alike and, from the pictures, it seems like they have the same dominant personality. I see Ava is always pinning Brody down. Aiden will not submit when he is playing…and Dylan will not tell him off. I hope he will learn it is okay to submit once in a while.
Great job being the referee Michelle!
Thanks for posting all the pictures Lee.
Ziva is the same way. She was always on top and very vocal. The other puppies want to play with Barbie’s and she wants to be GI Joe. After Libby finally started to not tolerate some of the really rude puppy behaviour she toned down somewhat with some of the other puppies she plays with. A shrinking violet she is not.
Really enjoyed the adorable photos and captions. Have you been to the Carole School of Narration and Story Telling? You both give us a giggle every time!
Each time I read this post and see those pix I laugh out loud. Ava is a little monster! Poor Brady—he owes Brody big time.
Too funny-i can see who wears the “pants” in that relationship. I like Lynda’s idea of an exchange. Ava and Aiden can chomp each other and Brady and Dylan can take quiet walks on the beach and hang out. Then after NASS you can trade back when hopefully the A beasties will be a little less bitey.
Don’t let the pictures fool you. Brody was dishing it out as well. He was having the time of his life… no matter how many times he got knocked over or chomped on, he would always run right back at her for more. Over and over again, all day long. He loved every minute of it!
Hillarious, love the captions…both kids look great! Nothing better than happy, playful pups:)
