There is now a Schutzund trainer here on Cape Cod. During the summer it is very difficult to travel off Cape for any reason whatsoever. We were thrilled to find our own Gustavo who is training once a week on the Cape just 30 minutes from us!!! We went to meet Mario last week and started training in tracking, obedience and protection today.
We met at the tracking field at 6:30am for tracking
As Aiden’s training is so brief, Mario agreed to help me with Dylan’s tracking. Since I am starting over again with Dylan there was lots of food on the track. Dylan had a great time!!
We moved on to the grounds of a local school where Mario instructed me on the basics
First time ever doing protection…… for both Aiden and me. 
I learned a lot and Aiden had fun, what more could you ask for.
A trainer only 30 minutes away… that’s great! I’m glad you found him, both of you will have so much fun.

How fabulous that you have a IPO trainer on the Cape! Tour first taste of protection tracking looks really good, well actually all the phases look good. Did you have fun with your first taste of protection training? It is all prey drive and fun and games.
Yes, both Aiden and I had fun in the short “lesson” (Aiden definitely thought it was a game!) in protection training. Aiden has a lot of prey drive so should enjoy the training.
I’m the one who will need the most training!

Are you driving him into you hand with food and then using that on his muzzle to guide him into position? He looks like he is enjoying the flirt stick and rag. Ziva will not give hers up. Her little jaw is clamped so tight you would think it would give her a headache. Do you take Dylan along on the training or does he get to relax and have some peace and quiet at home?
