The morning training group at Gustavo’s with Peter our guest from Germany. From this group many were getting ready to trial their dogs this weekend, but unfortunately the trial was cancelled due to the extreme heat. From the Alta-Tollhaus dogs, Dale and Sarah were ready to do the BH with Millie, and Michelle was ready to go for their (SchH1) IPO1. Both teams are more then ready for the levels they were going to be trailing at and have been working so hard. I was so excited to see their hard work validated with new titles so it was a great disappointment to have the trial cancelled. On the other hand I am relieved they are not going to be out in that heat this weekend. By the time michelle and Brady go for their IPO1 they will be ready to do the IPO3. Dale and Millie will be go for their BH and probably be ready for their IPO 1 or 2.
I missed Millie’s obedience but did see her protection training which is coming along very nicely. I haven’t see Millie’s obedience in months but I hear from everyone it is super. Alta-Tollhaus Millie M-litter Joker von Eichenplatz x Kira 2-years old doing her protection training:

At lunch I grabbed a cell phone picture of Lee’s shirt:
It was a real privilege to go out to lunch with Peter (and Julie too, of course) and listen to some of his thoughts on shows, the dogs, and everything in general. I wish he could be with us every week!
Lee you don’t have to be so nice, I had nothing interesting to say. But getting the latest scoop from Deutschland is always cool.
Peter had fun at training. He was uber impressed with Gustavo, yeah like who isn’t, and of course everyone that trains with Gustavo are good people.
Julie
I love the Kira kids — they bring a new meaning to the word “intensity!”
Also, great group shot — puppy Brody’s expression is adorable!
Great pix, Julie. The only thing that could have been better for the group shot was if you and The G-Man would have been in it too!
Millie is looking great and of course Amelia is just adorable! It’s a shame Matt and I don’t get to see Millie train in person anymore 🙁
