Since we have been slacking on posting pictures of Mad Max on the blog and mainly relying on Julie’s professional photo skills, I got my butt in gear and gathered some photos to share.
This was the before picture of his new bed, he destroyed it in 6 hours.
‘Wait, I’m not supposed to be up on the counter?’
‘Look Dad I can drive too, you just have to look ahead and be handsome.’
This yard work thing is a piece of cake, I’ll just sit on my human boy and enjoy the ride.

The bond between Max and your little boy is truly beautiful. Especially love the picture where Max’s big goofy tongue is blocking his boy’s eye, like a pirate’s eye patch. What a handsome young dog.
The bed eating must be grandma Funny’s genes. That’s what I tell myself anyway.

Oh My Gosh, he is so handsome lying on the counter in his pose, but the picture that cracks me up is his serious face riding shotgun, he looks like you may be tailgaiting or something!!! I laughed out loud at that picture, it’s great!!!!

I got a kick out of the counter shot. The other evening I heard a unique sound in the kitchen and peeked around the corner to find Shotzie doing the doggie version of a table dance! I really debated for a few seconds whether I should go grab the camera or get her off the table asap — unfortunately, I chose to get her off the table. With all the dogs we’ve had in the past, I’m quite certain we’ve never had any who thought it was okay to get on the counter or the table…. until now. Those darned stone coasters are just so much fun to shoot of the table like hockey pucks!
Boys and GSDs, nothing could be better. Love the pics of your son and Max, they are all awesome.

The driver shot is the best. Or, is it the counter shot that’s the best! At any rate, for your sanity, I hope you don’t have too many opportunities for counter shots. 😉
Jennie, I agree with you—shredded stuff=Funny genes.

Might be a week or so… It has been a tough week for the men in the Candler family. Connor has strep throat and I have pneumonia.
We’re hoping to be back at it next week though!
Thank you for staying home! I hope Peter can see Max while he is visiting, but if you are still sick, it can wait.
