Love it! Bravo! My little guy, Lathan, couldn’t wait to see it, because Nikon has always been his favorite on LDT.

Very cool! He’s so smart… I’m surprised he hasn’t started mowing the lawn or making his own agility props.

Nikon sez this is embarrassing, he wants to share a Schutzhund video instead.
I should send in his tricks for his trick titles, he does about two dozen different tricks (way more than the video). We were working on a short “routine” for Phil’s class, which we did on their last full day of school.
I think next year we’re going to re-start doing agility at Well Mannered Dog. We didn’t take any classes this year because we’ve been so busy and the outdoor classes we used to take are in the evening on top of a hill where the sun is low and beating down. The dogs get mopey in the heat and it’s just not as fun when you’re not working in drive. Also my dogs have literally outgrown some of their equipment. Well Mannered Dog has a full loaded facility. We often cheat and play agility during flyball.
Wow!! So awesome. I can never do that trick in between the legs thing, I will literally fall on my butt, I’m not tall enough! Although Koda is only .5 inches over the height limit.
Nikon is soooo cool.

It’s quite awkward even for me, especially when he’s *barking* at the same time! Don’t be discouraged, I’ve seen my short friend do it with a tall/big GSD! Sometimes we fumble if he’s confused whether I want “weave” (leg weave) or “under” (duck between my legs), since for the weave he starts by passing in front of my left leg but for under he has to duck behind it.

Lies, that was totally amazing.
You should consider starting a training class for others. If you were here in FL, I would definitely go.
I’m flattered! I’ve thought about it but never pursued for two reasons: 1) I find the more stuff I do on the side the less time I spend actually training my own dogs and that’s what’s most important to me right now. 2) More and more I think I’m not really a “dog person”. I like German Shepherds and a handful of other breeds, and even then I’m selective within the breed(s). The majority of dogs out there I’m not interested in and I’m sure those owners/fanciers feel the same way about my dogs! Admittedly I’m not a very patient person. Most times someone asks me about “dog training” it’s really an issue of trying to counter-condition the dog’s temperament which is something I don’t have the patience for (hence why I like to get nice, healthy dogs that are born willing to work). Since I work in a call center and do customer support for IT all day long I’m already drained by helping people and dealing with nonstop problems.
I hear you Lies, since I am a “geek” myself…
Then, how about a tng class for A-T dogs only? Nice, healthy dogs, willing to work? Aren’t we all lucky to have found Julie?

I’m thinking I don’t expect much from me or my dogs….

That really was a cute video. Nikon is looking great!
Andrea Boucher is teaching agility at Well Mannered Dog now- she’s very good. I have my little guy Tank in a class there this session.

Utterly amazing. Every time I think I’ve seen it all, another AT dog goes over the top with something extraordinary like this Nikon video. Between your training, and Nikon’s superior genetics, it doesn’t surprise me that his “repertoire” goes far beyond what we see in this clip. Congratulations, Lies – it was like watching a dance between two highly skilled and focused performers. We look forward to more Nikon videos!
