We missed Carole’s BootCamp on Saturday to attend a 5 mile charity walk for the Wounded Warrior Project. Its our favorite charity and proceeds go to assisting soldiers with wounds and disabilities and their families when they return from overseas.
Grizzly was the hit of the day –people coming over to comment how great looking they thought he was, complement us on his temperament, and share with us childhood memories of their GSDs. He did really well on the walk – it was a perfect 75 degrees all morning and between that and some belly water sprays along the course, he had plenty of energy left at the end.
His ego does get in the way sometimes– you can see below: “Hey you two get out of the way, I need to be out front for the pic!” — Michelle’s profile suffered a bit for the photo, but you get the idea.
If anyone is looking to get involved in a truly worthwhile and heartwarming charity please go to: www.woundedwarriorproject.org
OMG, Grizzly is just B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!
Grizzly looks great and of course, he should be in front!
An excellent organization to support. Thank you for sharing John.
Michelle is so beautiful it is a shame the photographer messed up, I don’t blame Griz as it is his job to out front.
Another 7 miles and he can do his AD. But he will have to be trotting and you have to be on a bike. You can run it too, but need to get permission first.
OK—I can see The Grizz being in front but what is the excuse for the other camera hog? Looks like you had a beautiful day to support a wonderful organization.
Great to participate in the charity walk John, Michelle and Grizzly.
Grizz is a big handsome boy.
I always enjoy seeing your pictures. The Grizz is such a ham. What a great charity event.
Grizzly has turned into such a handsome boy.
Wow, Grizz is a big dog. Thankyou for supporting such a worthy cause.
