Batman and I are in South Carolina this week for a work training at USC. It’s a 7-8 hour drive from DC. I’m so glad I brought him — it’s been really good for him to get used to being in an unfamiliar place with me. It’s also been fun finding new places to train. I even managed to do some K9 nosework sessions in the hotel room. I’ll post video at the end.
First, the packing process:
I’m a light packer. My dog is not.
Training at a rest stop in North Carolina. I call this my “Tiger mom face.”
Chilling out at the hotel after a long drive.
Posing in front of a monument at the USC Horseshoe, where we took our morning walks.
Practicing “elevator manners.”
Doing some K9 nosework — I love that you can practice this sport just about anywhere:
What fun! Also great job finding different places to train, and using your resources.
Jennie Batman is so handsome!! It’s so fun watching him grow into a beautiful young dog with such a wonderful life!!
I hope your Batmobile is bigger than a Zip Car! Soon you will need a van! It’s great that he was able to take the trip with you.
Our little Batling is growing into a handsome, well-rounded K9 citizen.
Great pictures… he is quite the good looking GSD! I am the same way with packing for camping trips in regard to human to animal stuff ratio.
What a freakin cutie patootie he is!!
Koda has a camo duffle bag but we can never fill it like Batman! I probably have 3 types of leash, 3 collars and poop bags in there. He has a dedicated bowl and water jug that stays in the truck.
Thanks for sharing your road trip with us Jennie and Batman.
Thank you for taking us along on your road trip!
