Darn! Julie, I was hoping you wouldn’t see this first! I was going to say that Scott gave Dutch daily growth hormone injections and I overfed him! Anyway, your comment is covers it all. You’re right, that’s not my Dutch. We’ve been all over with Dutch, and we met Commander Ty at the Jamestown War Memorial. His dog, G.I. Joe, is 8 months old. Scott and Joe are enjoying “polite greetings” here, and Ty is being face-washed with Dutch’s kisses. Ty is heading to Virginia after he completes his deployment in military “Grand Strategy” at the “Naval War House.” This is where America’s best study and strategize. He’s worked with military canines for years, and absolutely fell in love with Dutch at first sight. Scott was holding “G.I. Joe” while Ty was rolling around with Dutch, loving the similarities in breed. You’re so astute, Julie! And, your humor rivals the goofy gene in our fur-babies!

I was hoping that was Newport, California! I was going to dognap Dutch! Oh my gosh he’s all grown up and handsome!
Fooled you! That’s not Dutch – that GSD is 8 month old “Joe,” owned by LTC Ty Connett. Ty was bowled over by Dutch (of course!). Ty recently coauthored “VSO (Village Stability Operations): More than Village Defense” in the July-August-September 2011 issue of Special Warfare. Ty was training Joe in a park near the marina when we met.

Check out Julie’s hilarious comment, above!

Beverly, I think you need to put a picture of dutch so everyone stops worrying! 🙂
