Well not exactly, but we used the same DNA lab that the Jerry Springer uses for their paternity testing. The lab also has a veterinarian division. Their animal DNA is very detailed utilizing several dozen markers and best of all they have a quick turnaround time. We took DNA samples from all of the X-litter puppies….. and the results are in.

Just a little bit more information to help with your guesses. All the puppies could be sired by one male or it could be some from each. Zeke bred Ana 2 times By A.I. (artificial insemination) at the optimal time based on progesterone tests. Gavin bred Ana one time naturally later in her cycle. I had some gut feelings about a couple of the puppies but most I had no idea.

5 were sired by Zeke and 4 were sired by Gavin. The two pups I was sure were Gavin’s were Blue and Polar Bear Pink girl and I was right. The rest I just wasn’t sure about.

LOL!!! I was pretty confident Black Boy and Pink Polar Bear girl were Gavins, they just had his look.
Lorie when I saw that Balck boy was sired by Gavin my first thought was Lorie knew the whole time. I remember from one of the pictures early-early on you picked him out.
Yes, I was pretty positive that Black Boy and Pink Polar Bear were, I was off on some, but it was hard, either way you can’t go wrong, both are beautiful dogs and it is a very beautiful litter, per usual!!
I was only right about one of Gavin’s pups — pink girl!
Man, I was so sure that green boy was Gavin’s, but the DNA proved me wrong. Guess that officially makes me a “chair-thrower” on the Jerry Springer stage!
Jennie that would be fun to see! I thought Green boy was Gavin’s too, because of his big boxy head, but I didn’t have a strong feeling. What kept throwing me off was how dark all the eyes were and Zeke has very dark eyes….of course I forgot to factor that Ana has very dark eyes too.
