Crap! Momma Julie, you didn’t pack my summer coat. It is HOT here!
Xero has only been in town for a couple of days but he has already started his training. Julie, this is a VERY nice pup. He is such a sweet guy—only grabbed my ankle once. Are you sure this is an A-T pup? 😉
Here is a picture of his classmate, Bristol.
This will be a good class for Xero as he will get to see a few flavors of dogs. Next week Toby and Pebbles will be back in town.
Thank you for the picture Carole! The Ana litter was downright mellow compared to the other Alta-Tollhaus litters. We did our best to get them used to the warm weather with a mid march tropical heatwave.
Xero is very sweet and mellow! Once again, you’ve done an excellent job placing the right puppy with the right family.
What a doll! That one will learn about shade quickly.
Could have come to Nebraska. We are in the 90s. Raj went out on the trail this afternoon to do the Easter Bone Hunt, and when we came home he insisted on turning on the a/c. Never did that in March before. By next year we may be able to plant a palm tree : )
Ann, even I don’t have the a/c on! The Easter Bone Hunt sounds like fun.
Hey Raj,
Tell us more about the Easter Bone hunt. That sounds like fun!
Hope you are doing well.
Your pal,
Ivan
Xero looks like he’s very happy in his new “pack!’ What a cutie! Stop whining about the warm weather – just send a little up here! We had snow showers last night (: I’m still donning my hooded down parka to take Dutch outside. BRRRRR!
That is exactly why Xero is whining! Jule sent him with his hooded parka—no shorts, no t-shirts, no flip-flops, etc. I specifically have my training area under the shade trees to accommodate the A-T kids who come to town. The Spring kids do go through an adjustment period. It didn’t phase The Batling one bit when he arrived in the fall.
Batman quite enjoyed the FL winter weather, and so did I! He seems to do best in mild to slightly chilly climates. It got into the 80s here a few weeks ago, and his energy level dropped noticeably whenever we went outside. He could play for 10 minutes before he needed water and a rest. I’m thinking we need lots of indoor and water activities to get us through the summer.
I am sorry Bev – that sounds cold, we are in the 40’s here so only light jackets. Does Dutch like the snow?
Dutch LOVES the cold and the snow so much that we are concerned about how he will tolerate the warmer weather ahead. He could stay outside all day, which thrills my husband, who also loves hiking throughout the winter. Dutch is like a child in the snow, and even lays in the snow and slides down our hills! When he’s indoors, he presses himself against outer doors to enjoy any cold drafts from below.
Xero looks like a sweetheart — enjoy the little puppy stage while it lasts, especially the puppy fur! Once they start growing, they don’t stop! And then Carole’s going to have to rethink likening the toy breeds to “flavors.” LOL — I’m just kidding, of course. Batman has never actually eaten another dog (as far as I know).
Weather everywhere seems totally out of whack. It was hot as heck in DC earlier this month, but chilly in recent days.
Wow, Xero has only just got to Florida and he has already made it to school with Carole. Good boy Xero. He is a cute boy.
What a cute boy. Nice to see he even has his own cute kid to wait on him hand and paw. It will be fun to see the growth comparisons with his “classmates” with the training updates.
