He is big, soon he won’t be able to fit in my chair any longer.

Hi Kelli! Oso is really getting huge – I’ll bet you can hear him galumphing around the house like a big bear! I can see some of the same changes I’m seeing in Dutch now. Their snouts are elongating, and it’s going to be a while before they grow into their big ears and paws. Dutch’s body seems to be stretching daily, and I’m seeing gorgeous silver hairs in his saddle between his shoulder blades. When I look at his puppy pics, I can’t believe how little he was! He looks thin, but he weighs 43 pounds now.
He’s just starting to jump up on people and furniture, so we’re really working overtime on “OFF!”
Hi Bev! I am seeing the same changes in Oso – his nose is much longer and seems like it extended overnight. Dan and I thought Oso was looking too thin but Julie told Dan on Sunday that if you can feel ribs but not really see them that is just right. I am not sure what he weighs right now but I will let you know when I check him again.
Oso has one patch of silvery hair but continues to be predominantely black. He is very long in his body and did not need to jump in my chair he just basically stepped onto it. He jumps into the back seat without any problems at all.
He seemed like the ideal weight to me when I was giving him scratches on Sunday. Not too thin at all… he felt perfect.

Oh, yes—that is now Oso’s chair. I do not encourage dogs to be on the furniture. However, when Kayla was a youngster, she had other ideas about that rule. She makes herself comfy in the chair next to my computer—with that same expression that I see on Oso.
You might have to get him his own chair. Yep, laughter is taken as a sign of approval…but sometimes you just cannot help yourself.
It was great to see him again yesterday… he’s getting so big!
