huuuuuhhhhhh do you see that, they think I am going to pull that?
Gavin is working on his weight-pull championship and now is almost a third of his way to his new title. We also showed Gavin in the UKC Champion class he took 4 Best of Breed wins and placed in the group all 4 times. He now has 3 of his 5 legs for his UKC Grand Champion title. Oh yeah…and he won the Total Dog award!!!! To earn this they must have a qualifying conformation win and on the same day and complete a qualifying performance event. Gavin, Cadence, and Igor were the only GSDs that competed in both weight-pull and conformation.
Tracy and Igor finished their UKC Weight-Pull title this weekend too.
Pitt Bull, a “real” weight-pull breed
Congratulations Gavin! Very impressive!
Way to go Gavin!!! WOOT!!
Julie, we have an 8 ft trailer, do you think Koda can pull it? Or do you think my neighbors will call animal police on me for cruelty seeing they have never seen anything like this! 😀
(They cringe when they see Koda wearing a prong!)
Woo Hoooo! Gavin is definitely the Total Dog! Congratulations to all three GSDs. Now please explain the use of the wet mat.
By the way, I love the colors of Gavin’s harness. I would suggest using for your kennel colors but I think the idea of using Yellow is so the dogs can find an A-T person in the crowd.
OK wasn’t going to post this on the blog because I don’t want to sound like an idiot – I know NOTHING about pulling – or half the stuff you guys do, but WOW GAVIN has the BIGGEST HEART of any dog I know! Just looking at those pictures brought tears to my eyes! If I wasn’t in love with the breed before I know I am now! The others that have been posted today are no slouches either – I don’t even know them but I am sure proud for them!!!!!
WOW!!! Gavin is maturing right before my eyes, he is so masculine now, not that goofy puppy look anymore, though I did love that aspect of his personality. Julie, I’m real proud of what you are accomplishing with Gavin, he is quite the dog, a dream come true actually. I am so humbled. 🙂
Wow! Send Gavin to Josie, he will pull that trailer in a flash. What a dog. Agree with Carol K, he has so much heart.
And yeah, what about that wet mat?
Love Cadence’s face in the third pic: “Ooomph! What the hell?!”
Looks like a fun day out. Congratulations to all the dogs…and owners!
