For some reason this whole scenario makes me think of Green Eggs & Ham, probably because we kept joking…”will he protect you in a barn?”…”will he protect you in the woods?…” (more on that later). Anyway, here is Noodle sure enough protecting me in a barn. Nikon has protection titles in two different venues (SchH/IPO and SDA) and has been used to certify new decoys. He doesn’t discriminate when it comes to working various people in various environments!
Tonight is the last flyball practice before the first tournament! Nikon is now entered as well. He will be doing “pre-flight” which is basically a single dog running by himself. Another dog had entered but is not quite ready yet, and dogs entered for singles, pairs, or team competition cannot do pre-flight runs so Nikon will be taking the pre-flight spot and opting out of competition. Pan will be running singles (competing a flat out race against one other dog) and doing team warm-ups. Height measuring starts at 6:45AM and it’s a 12 hour competition day on Saturday. The venue is 2.5 hours away so we’re heading east Friday night.
I’d agree that it looks pretty much certain that he would protect you in a barn! Great job, you two. Nikon is obviously very serious about his work.
