I love that first picture Bev. Dutch is not looking very snarly in that one. I can see that you don’t need the Doggy beach because you wear him out with various dogs.
The last picture us great too!

You’re very sweet to say that, but a Doggy beach is the cat’s meow! We can’t wait to take Dutch to lake this summer for dock diving and boating. But, you are right about the dogs all wearing themselves out. Even tomorrow, he’ll probably sleep more than usual because we all stayed up late playing with them. It’s funny; Dutch still gets up at 6:30 am regardless of what time we all go to bed. Thank God I’m an early riser! Dutch and I really love our time alone together before the rest of the house rises.

Oh my goodness! Dutch is so cute, no wonder everyone wants to stop by. You’re doing a great job socializing him in a safe way during this critical window of development.
The third picture is so sweet. Looks like Dutch is having a great time with his friend.

Regarding the 4th picture, “Tug-a-Wabbit”:
Note that along the center of Dutch’s back you can see that his fur is becoming wavy. This is most pronounced when he is “fighting” for his toy in tug games, or barking at a threat, such as the new “poopy-pail” he saw hiding behind a tree.
I know that GSD’s sometimes get wavy hair as they transition from puppy coats to permanent coats, and that some waviness is permitted in the standard. Some lose most of the waves as the adult coat matures. One of my Labs from Someday Retrievers in Cache Cay, Canada, also had a similar waviness along the midline of the back, but it was permanent. He was Beaumont’s brother: same parents, different litter. Has anyone seen this before in AT dogs? It’s not a big deal, I’m just curious.
I’ve heard that If you look at the very early sheep herding dogs of the type von Stephanitz used to create the GSD one variety had wavy hair. Interesting, isn’t it?

Yes it is interesting. The wavy hair will go away.

Gavin had wavy hair as it transitioned to adult hair, come to think of it all my Shepherds have.
I love the title, too cute. Great job socializing Beverly and It appears that Dutch is enjoying it!
These are great pictures! The bottom one reminds me of Kayla and the cat when Kayla plays smash the kitty.
