When I teach puppy classes crate training is the first thing we start off with. There will always be some people that will refuse to teach their dogs to be comfortable in crates. They do not believe in cages. They are not doing their dogs any favors. Odds are that every dog at some time in its life will have to be confined to a cage. To have your dog sick or going in for surgery and having that be their first time crated….crazy. Get a clue people you are no being cruel you are teaching your dog to be calm and relaxed while in a safe place. I know I am preaching to the choir….
