Dan, Oso and I went for a another long walk and Oso is asleep in his crate as I type this entry. Dan is making chili for the SuperBowl.
There are pictures that show the big field behind the walking path, the length of the path and the best ones are of Oso playing in a mud puddle. He loved cracking the ice and making sounds with his paws and playing in the water. He did not want to stop playing but did not want to get left behind either.
Kelli & Dan – you inspired us! We all decided to take the dogs out for a hike, bundling up because although it was 29 degrees, it feels like 19 with the wind chill. The lake is frozen solid, with skaters and ice fishermen out there. We also met a few other people out with their dogs on the course. Dutch did surprising well, happily enjoying all the sights, sounds, and smells along the 3-mile walk.
Everyone has left for home now, and Dutch and Beaumont are sleeping like logs.
It looks like great fun!
You have a perfect place to teach Oso tracking!! You are lucky to have such wonderful green space close by. Can’t wait to see pictures in the spring as Oso is romping through the grass.
Susan, are you ever on top of things. Yes this would be ideal for tracking.
What is the expression? A tired dog is a happy dog? or is it: A tired dog has happy owners? Or is it: A tired dog is a good dog?
Today was a beautiful day!
It was a beautiful day. The sky was blue and we all got muddy out there. In the photo where Oso is looking back he is saying “Are you coming?” I am coming from behind to take photos and he is watching to make sure I am still back there. Oso is really attached to me but he loves Dan too.
Shepherd, watching over his people! What a nice area to work, play and have fun in, He’s a doll.
I think all of Julies phrases ring true at one time or another!!
You have a nice area to walk Oso.
…we won’t talk about the Superbowl….!
