I am being very selfish and feeling sad. Zucca is now living in Appleton Wisconsin with two very lovely people. So why am I sad about that? I really miss Zucca and I deeply regret that I have not kept anything from her.
When I got the phone call from Mark and listened to what he was looking for I knew Zucca would be the perfect dog for them and they would be the perfect home for Zucca.
Mary is planning on getting Zucca her own rocker-recliner so Zucca can hang-out together in her office. Zucca will love being a house dog again and having Mark and Mary to watch over. So while I miss Zucca…instead of feeling sad I should be happy for Zucca. So get over it Julie!
Zucca with her new family:
Her first night with Mark and Mary in the hotel room
At home in her new bed….and surprise she came into season hence the panties.
What a very unselfish thing you did giving her up. How old is Zucca? She is beautiful.
She is 6 years old and most recently she gave birth to the U-litter. Zucca was the experience-woman that gently and patiently taught him how to be a man.
She will be so happy with a rocker recliner of her own! I still remember seeing her sitting in the chair like a person. LOL
Julie, give yourself a little time to miss her, then you will need to move on, but it is allowed for a couple days. Don’t feel bad about that.
But I think they will get along fabulously as a family!
Zucca is a special girl so I cannot help but feel sad that she is gone from my home. Mark and Mary’s happiness will make up for it and then some.
I think I speak for all the lucky U-litter humans here when I say, THANK YOU ZUCCA for making a man out of Gavin, and for being the coolest dam ever.
I’m sorry you didn’t get to keep anything out of her, I know you wanted to. But sometimes nature has different plans, and you can’t fight nature. At least you get to watch the U-pups grow up, all out of Ms. Zucca, cougar mama. Batman has inherited much of her joyous spirit and laid-back temperament, exactly what I had hoped for! He also keeps trying to get on the sofa with me, which we don’t allow. (We do not own a recliner, but if we did, he would’ve tried to claim it too.)
Zucca will have a lovely life with Mark and Mary. She deserves all the attention and love they will lavish on her in the years ahead. You did the right thing!
That was a very unselfish thing for you to do, and I am certain that Mark, Mary and Zucca will all benefit from your generosity. Zucca is absolutely gorgeous! She’s also right at that perfect age that starts around six years old. I’m sure you just made two people and one Zucca very, very happy.
After having Batman here for 8 weeks, heck, I wish I had something out of Zucca too. Zucca has always been a very sweet girl. She deserves to be the queen of the roost with Mark and Mary, especially since she will be getting her own throne, eh—rocker recliner.
You did a great thing, Julie.
Mark and Mary, you got a very special girl. I’ll never forget Zucca as a puppy…she so wanted to be a mother. When she was a couple months old, she would go in the whelping box and try to nurse the puppies. I will always love you Zucca!
