He will learn a lot from Beaumont. Great cuddle buddy!

He already has! I had been trying to teach Dutch how to go down stairs, but he finally learned by watching Beaumont and carefully following him down. We are soooo glad because the little chunk muffin isn’t getting any lighter!
They may look peaceful in the picture above, but you should have seen the circus that preceeded it! Beau and Dutch played together for an hour, playing tug with Dutch’s toys, while Beau growled and pulled (tail wagging the whole time), and finally won and casually lay there chewing on it while Dutch yelped at him and and kept trying to race in and grab it. Beau, of course, would let him have it eventually, and the whole game would cycle again. That’s why they are both comatose in that picture!
What fun, I so enjoy watching dogs play. Another picturesque Lab-GSD doggy duo.

Bev,
Loved the picture & the story behind it. How old is Beau?
I can sit for hours watching U-Rock & Lindy (2.5 Y/O) play. When one stops, the other nudges him/her to continue or, U-Rock’s favorite, jump on top of Lindy to get her going. Lindy is a little more polite… she grabs U-Rock’s collar very very gently & pulls him up to play. And like yours, they tire themselves to sleep.
Bonding between dogs is absolutely amazing and awesome to watch!

Me, too – I just love watching them play.
Beaumont is 11 years old, and in excellent health, with no genetic joint problems at all.
He tore his ACL last Spring while horsing around, but it’s healed so well most people don’t even notice.
He looks so much younger than 11 years old in this picture.
How lucky you are to have him for so long and in such good health.
Whatever you are doing must right!

Good news on the stairs, Bev. I bet you were relieved.
It’s wonderful that Dutch has such a great role model. Good job, Beaumont!
