Ummm, I noticed in this order: Puppy, man, large fridge? (mine is extremely small so I have serious fridge-envy), cabinet, leaded glass windowed door? 🙂
But as Julie mentioned, they both do look happy!

“Hey guys I like being hugged, but get on with the photogrpah already, I think there’s something interesting on the floor”
Good point Andrea, I didn’t catch that at first, always trust the dog.

Thank you all for the compliments! Scott & I have been married 40 years. My GSD “Duchess” held his heavy leather coat sleeve and wouldn’t let him go as he approached my house in the dark on our first date. She knew enough to hang on to him, and so do I!
The restoration of my historic home has been our passion for 20 yrs, and it’s now done. I designed the kitchen & butler pantry myself (Dad’s an architect, so I had a little help). Due to a sloppy renovation in the 60’s, we had to remove a stained suspended ceiling, ugly linoleum flooring, horrific cabinets, etc. The rest of the house, where “renovated,” was just as bad. This was our “retirement” home, so we both were very involved in the project over the years. We were able to move in to it 5 yrs ago, and are very proud of it now.
You’ll see may of its historic features – with our beloved DUTCH in the center of the pictures!

Congrats It is wonderful that you 2 share the same passion for this historic home. I look forward to seeing more features. We have looked at homes and anything built now has no personality or character.
How did you do through the night last night?

Last night, Dutch need to go out 3 times, but that is partly because he and I went to bed so early.
My husband had a meeting, so I went to bed at 8:30. Dutch almost immediately went back to sleep each time, and so did I! We were both exhausted. Today, we’ve been working on “Leave it!” then “Take it!” He’s very interested in everything, so the “Leave it!” can be important at times. He’s only had one pee accident inside today, but, again, it way my fault for missing his cues. All his Tootsie Rolls have been outside, but I watch him like a hawk. After watching my son and daughter-in-law take 4 months to housebreak their Great Dane puppy, I’d rather put the hard time in now. Besides, they had the small inconvenience of living in a Manhattan apt. on the 32nd floor. We are so lucky to have a house and yard!
They both look happy!
I don’t know ho people can look at a darling puppies eyes and not fall in love. Is this considered puppy love? lol
Bev, can you take a picture of that kitchen cabinet, where the coffee maker is? What an awesome idea.
LOLOL Are you shopping? J/K
Oh, Karen—you KNOW she’s already on line!
I didn’t even notice that…all I saw was the two handsome dudes.
