We picked up a shopping cart outside in the parking lot. I figured we’d have a little chance to practice before going down the aisles. No practice required! Didn’t bother him one bit. What did bother him was that I was wasting time outside when there were sales inside!
Selecting a new Bat Cave:
“I like this one!”
“Hey, it’s on Sale so I can get a bed too.”
“Come on—it fits.” (He has done all of this on his own. OK, I put it on the floor—otherwise he was going to try it on while on the shelf.)
“Heathly Fiesta sounds pretty good!” Oh for gosh sake, Batman! Karen just fainted.
He almost chose an Air Dog until he found the soft squeaky toys.
He REALLY wanted that third monkey. Grabbed it and pulled the display off the wall. The monkey had some type of rattle beads inside so I said to choose something else. The Batling selected a large gutless beaver and people were laughing at him as he took his beaver to his shopping cart.
Batman is a born shopper. He and Jennie will do quite well together. 😉
CAROLE………Where do I get smelling salts from?
Karen is passed out cold!
Signed, Tom 😉
Dear Tom, Just whisper in Karen’s ear, “He bought Gravy Train instead!” That should make her gasp and bring her back to life. 🙂
Gees….thanks Carole! Now she’s crying hysterically!!!! 🙂
LOL, Old Roy?
Irene I was thinking Old Roy too! So I will add Kibbles and Bits…and does anyone remember the old purina stuff we use to feed it wasn’t kibble like we know it now. It reminded me of something they baked on a cookie sheet and then smashed up.
Better not give that handsome boy a credit card…
LOL although he does seem to be a rather discerning shopper. I wonder what he liked about the third monkey. He is a Gavin – Zucca kid….but he really reminds me of an Allie kid.
@Karen Murray
Yes, I remember the Purina Dog Chow, cookie sheet stuff. In the winter my Dad used to pour hot coffee over it before he fed his hunting dogs. Could you imagine our dogs if they had coffee??
NO WAY!!!!! I use to bred and raise Flemish Giant Rabbits and I would make them hot oatmeal in the winter….still cannot compete with hot coffee.
I raised Flemish Giants too! Only they were not given the hot coffee treat. My father’s father also had hunting dogs. In the winter my Grandmother made the dogs hot stew with bread and coffee added to it. One night my grandfather came home late and found the stew on the stove and ate it. He said that it was the best stew she’d ever made! My grandmother said, “You stupid son of a bitch—that was the dogs’ food!” I’m not sure if she called him that for saying it was the best of her cooking, or for eating the dogs’ dinner. I think I get some of my charming personality from that grandmother. 😉
LOL !!!!!!!!
Lol! These photos are so cute with the captions, Batman is one confident little dude isn’t he?
Okay, I laughed out loud at the Beneful….then snorted soda at the rest of the comments. Poor Karen, you’ve traumatized her for life!
I’ve been on Xanax since last nite! 🙂 LOL
Karen, just open a bottle of wine. As you stare at the bag keep taking sips of wine. Pretty soon the bag will say Orijen.
LOLOLOL
This is a dog after my own heart. I love sales!
Don’t worry, Karen, he will NOT be eating Beneful. Silly puppy!
This post and comments are hilarious! Love it Carole!
I always love your stories in pictures Carole, and this is no exception. Thanks for taking the time to take your camera along and posting the shots here.
