We have always had a live Christmas tree until last year when I just hated the thought of killing a living tree but I also couldn’t bring myself to buy an artificial tree, so we didn’t put one up at all.
When we lost Ruffie and Shilo this spring, we planted a tree to remember them. The tree is a wonderful way to remember that through their memories they are still with us.
This Christmas we purchased a living tree which we will plant in our yard after the holidays to be a living memory of Sade’s first Christmas with us. She is a wild and wonderful girl and everyday brings joy to our lives.
We look forward to watching her and her tree grow and mature together.
