The first boy and girl form the W Litter (Gavin – Kira) were born on the 23rd:
The remainder of the pups came into this world on Thanksgiving day. There are 4 boys and 2 girls, they are big, strong, healthy, and very beautiful. The puppies were so large that it was a very long and difficult whelping. Only because Kira is strong and robust, was she able to have these pups without a c-section. She is amazing. I have so much to be thankful for: Mos and Tiffany, great friends, super dogs, and now 6 little (big) babies.
Below is a link to a picture you may not want to look at. Karen is holding a 24 ounce puppy next to the third puppy ,a boy, who died during delivery because it took too long. You can see why it took so long for her to deliver this puppy. I have been going over in my mind what I did that resulted in the pups growing so big.

God Bless you, Julie. You and everyone with you did everything to help Kira through a very difficult delivery. What a blessing to have those 6 puppies. You are great at what you do and we all appreciate your love, devotion, kindness and integrity. Thank you for sharing *all* the pictures.
I’m so glad everything turned out ok in the end, breeding is definitely not for the faint of heart, but I’m glad you breed Julie , we would all be missing out on some fantastic dogs if you quit. I am so thankfull Kira and her puppies are safe and doing well.
Everything that Lorie said. I am so thankful for you all.
What beautiful puppies! And finally, more than one girl in a litter! Thank goodness Kira made it through so well. She is the doggy equivalent of Wonder Woman — Wonder Bitch, so strong, she can whelp 24 oz wonder pups.
Wow, no ribbon for these pups. Going straight to the big dog collars!
Sometimes it takes a village to whelp a litter. Thankfully, you had one! Good job, everyone.
Very good observation on the collars Jennie!
Congratulations on the new litter. With such big puppies, & such an uncomfortable pregnancy, I am so glad to see that, thru it all, Kira made it with such flying colors.
Julie, pls don’t try to outguess yourself… count the six remaining blessings you have helped bring to this world along with healthy Kira. And know that we all think very highly of you & of the breed you share with us. Thanks for being such a wonderful breeder! Now go enjoy these wonderful puppies!
Ditto to everything everyone else has said. Could not have said things any better. Sometimes God has a different plan than ours.
I have a whole new respect for Kira after the difficult delivery she had of these puppies. She is such a good mom.
I am so thankful for the 6 puppies that are healthy, beautiful and full of life.
As sad as it is that there were these difficulties I have to say we learned a lot with the whelping of this litter.
Ditto on all of the above. Hope Kira had some more ice cream after that one, she deserves it. A little prayer for the baby that didn’t make it. The other pups now have their own special angel to watch over them.
