Hailey (I-Litter) and her new best friend Libby. I ‘babysat” Libby for the day on Saturday – and Hailey played with her for HOURS. That is what Hailey needs – she was a different dog after tearing around and playing for hours. I need a playmate for her. I really wish that there was a dog in the neighborhood that could come over a couple of times a week and just tear with her. I have been thinking of trying a dog park – but I am concerned about some of the dogs that go there………….
Hailey is looking pretty good. She has the beautiful red coloring that her mother has. She is funny – she plays a lot with her feet – batting balls and holding on to things (Including poor Marco) and she still acts like a goofy puppy a lot. I am going to wait to spay her – I have been reading more articles Here is a good one:

I decided that it isn’t necessarily in the dog’s best interest to spay them early – it’s more for our convenience. I was surprised to see that dogs not only have physical problems, but temperament problems too from early spay/neuters.
Marco and Hailey are both at the Vet’s today – getting bathed and having their toenails trimmed for the holidays
Have a good Thanksgiving..
Labs and GSDs are the best pair, they are so good together.
Hailey is beautiful, you are right, she is very red.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Do you want me to borrow you a dog? Thank you for the pictures and the update!
Such gorgeous coloring on that girl!!
what fun. I can’t wait until we have a bigger yard so our dogs can run and play. They just love it when we go somewhere and they can stretch their legs. I bet they both will sleep well!
So cute! I think it’s very wise to wait to spay your girl. All the research out there is very convincing – and not surprising. We know how important hormones are in human development, the same is absolutely true for animals.
