This is something everyone needs to see, especially with our breed. I had never seen it before but I would certainly recognize it now. As hard as it was to watch..it is necessary.
Thank Julie

Has anyone ever considered doing a kibble test with their food?
Here’s how: Put 1 cup of kibble in a bowl, cover just to the top of the kibble with water and let soak overnight.
In the morning, you’ll see how much that amount of food swells in your dogs’ stomach. If it is excessive, consider changing brands to something that has more meat than grain in the first 5 ingredient’s, and you won’t get as much swelling.
Thanks, Julie. This was awful to watch by very educational.
And that’s a good thing! 😉 It’s interesting to test 2 or 3 brands together
that have a different top 5 ingredient combination. The results can vary hugely!
Another thing to note is not always does the dog throw-up something. One of the common signs is trying to retch but not producing any results. If it even crosses your mind that your dog may be bloating give them several gas-x and head to the vet immediately. No time to worry about a false alarm.
Always use common sense. Do not feed before or after heavy exercise. Moderate water intake after heavy exercise.

The kibble I am currently feeding is the Royal Canin German Shepherd formula. It does expand slightly but not by much.
