Yesterday I told Julie that I missed a true Nikon moment. Kayla & Batman went with me to get the mail – Kayla on lead, Batman free. Before I got too close to the dirt road, I told Kayla plotz. She & Batman both downed in the field, side-by-side, and stayed that way until I returned from the mailbox and said, “break.” Of course, no camera.
So today I took my point & shoot along—just in case. Yep, they both downed, only before I returned Batman sat and stayed that way until I said, “break.” They are at least 60′ from the mailbox. Kayla is an excellent trainer—she’s doing a pretty good job with a pup that is 9 weeks & 3 days old!
I have a photo of them both down but it isn’t as cute as this one. Oh yes, and the Ear Fairy came last night! 😉
Kayla is a great teacher. It always amazes me when I slow down and watch the dogs for a few minutes how much they do communicate with each other and us. Cute cute cute picture!
That’s it. I am making this picture my Christmas card photo. What a great story!!
Love “The Batling!”
The Cuteness Meter is just flying off the charts!!! I can’t wait for Saturday…he has grown already. Kayla is a very special girl!
I just made this my desktop on my work computer. Kayla is so pretty!!!
Love it! Thank you Carole for sharing that story and for the super picture. Batty is being channeled in Florida too. 🙂
Oh Lordy!! I have 2 more things to finish up before I get to go home and look what I’m doing! Super CUTE!!
LOL. I sent the link to my coworker with the subject line: OMG — SCIMD (So Cute I Might Die).
OMG Jennie, how can you stand it??????
These are going to be the longest 2-months of your life. I would be packing up just about…. now!
Carol, absolutely awesome picture. Lindy & U-Rock are also establishing their own friendship, between nipping & biting & splashing in the water bowl… definitely an A-T pup!
Orly, this is the longest 2 months of my life since the last 2 months, when we were waiting for the pups to go home! This is a VERY LONG FOUR MONTHS OF MY LIFE.
So it is TORTURE, but it’s also very gratifying to see how well Batman is doing with Carole. With every post, I become more certain that I made the right choice because I did what was best for my pup. Even though pictures like this make me want to squeeze his little face off!!!
More pics of U-Rock soon, please!
I’ll work on some pictures this weekend but, if not, we will be at Carole’s on Monday for training so I have no doubt Carole’s magic camera will be at attention.
Can’t wait to see the two brothers’ reunion… that will be the cutest ever…
P.S. Carole, please hide the water bucket… I can’t get U-Rock out of his water bowl… (LOL)
Oh My God!!! That picture is adorable, Jenny, would you mind if I batnap Batman? He is a gorgeous little man, a chip off the old block for sure!
Batnap him to sunny CA, where he’ll romp around with you and your horses all day and never want to go back to cold and noisy DC? Hmmm… OK, but only if I get to come too!
Awwwww – what an adorable photograph. They don’t get cuter than that!
Great picture Carole. What a good girl Kayla is with the Batman.
Wow her expression reminds me so much of Nikon in that pic.
That’s just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Only Carole could get a shot like that.
