It’s very touching to see the looks of admiration from the bystanders, everyone appreciated the Grand Dame. 🙂
There are certain dogs who will always catch your eye when they are in the ring. Funny is one of those dogs that you just can’t help admire.
All I can say is that she takes my breath away… so proud, so dignified… she knows she owns the ring & is proud of it!
How can you not admire such an impressive dog?!

Gorgeous pics of a gorgeous girl — Funny is a living legend! I could not believe how active and energetic she was when greeting me at Julie’s. No one would guess she was a grandma, let alone a senior.
Julie, are you sure you don’t have a doggy Fountain of Youth hidden somewhere on that 100+ acres of yours? That’s really the only logical explanation for a wonder like Funny.
Will a grandma like that it is no wonder these AT dogs are so awesome! Congratulations Julie what a beautiful shepherd.

The owner of Kevin von Murtal, Tracy Bullinger, was at the show. It was so nice to hear her compliments of funny an dhow much she reminded her of Kevin. Kevin is alive and well at 13.5 years old.
I feel so honored to have met Grandma Funny, she is all that and a bag of chips.
Me too! She and Cadence came bounding up to me, and when I saw her, I thought, “No way is this dog 11 years old. She must be Cadence.” Even though I had seen the photos and recognized her, I still couldn’t believe it was her at first!
It requires a willing suspension of disbelief to meet Funny. She is that awesome.
I wish we could have been there to see Funny show her stuff. I know how proud you must be. It would do Singer good to see his mama looking so good. Funny has set a high mark for her children. Hope we all can make her a proud mama.
Thank you so much for sharing these photos, the poem, and most of all, Funny. I get the feeling that time stood still when Funny was in the ring…how incredible to be there. I get teary eyed every single time I look at these photos…absolutely wonderful. Julie, it is so great that you entered her, it is obvious that she wanted to do her mama very proud and just loves strutting her stuff! She looks so regal in that last photo, and wow to think how she has trained all the AT pups in that classic AT smile and camera pose…outstanding Miss Funny! You certainly are #1, and just fill our hearts:)

Funny is a gem. This pass year I’ve watched her work sheep, watched her OWN the ring, watched her train a junior handler, watched her play with her grand puppies, watched her teach Via manners when Vee was any older annoying puppy and have watched her keep an eye on Julie.
