I am sorry so long since any pix or news on the U-litter.
I am smitten, these pups turned three weeks today and are already so much fun. Tonight I introduced them to real food. I normally start with finger feeding the pups Gerber baby food, Veal, if you can find it, or Turkey, or Beef. No Gerber in the cupboards so I opted for Evangers canned dog food, 100% chicken. Tonight I sat in the puppy pen (kiddie plastic pool) and held each pup one at a time to introduce them to real food. There is a learning curve to discovering how to eat real food. First they try to suck all their food as that is all they have known, then they move on to wearing their food all over their bodies and then sucking it off each other. Later they advance to walking and bathing in their food. Tonight was step one, hold one puppy at a time, place a small amount of the canned meat on my finger and delicately present it to the pup. Sucked right up, not like sucked through a straw but sucked up as in caught in a vortex and completely gone. The introduction to eating quickly moved to gluping large amount of food off the palm of my hand, yes actually eating, chomp, chomp, chomp.

I have a picture in my head now of little “pacman’s” (remember them?) chomping their food (LOL)… can’t wait for the real pictures.

Lol!!! I can smell the chicken flavored puppy breath from here!! They sound like little food devils!
I’d love to see tons of pictures of puppies covered in food!
