Gavin and Bailey were shown for the first time in the working-dog classes. The Working-dog classes are for dog over 2 years of age and schh titled. Since Gavin only recently turned two he hasn’t had the chance to compete in this class. He did very well competing against older very-seasoned show dogs. Gavin is now V rated, excellent. Gavin was expertly handled by 14-year old David Piotrowski, and no one stacks Gavin better then David did! Where was my camera? I left it at home on purpose. I needed to stay focused on Bailey and Gavin. Gavin is such a sweet dog, he would lick his handlers ear whenever he would set him up, wag his tail when the judge checked his teeth and testicles, he even loved it when the judge measured him. He is a happy, happy dog and so much fun to live with. Again thank you Lorie for letting us borrow him!
Bailey is the second dog in the above photo. Her first time shown in the working classes she showed her little heart out along with super handling by Shak Williams worked her way up to 2nd place earning her V rating.
Crystal did the off-lead gaiting with both Bailey and Gavin. Actually she did it twice with Gavin because the dog that ended up placing 3rd place did not want to gait with his handler so everyone had to do it again. Crystal was a nervous wreck as this was her first time doing this….and let me tell you no one would have guessed. Her and Bailey looked fabulous together and I know it helped contribute to her high placement. OH..and we were also complimented by the judge on both Bailey and Gavin for the good double handling….eeeeehhhh… who would have guessed we would get a comment like that!?!
Thank you for just wracking up Gavins titles! I didn’t lnow he was V rated now, pretty soon I won’t have enough room to write his name ! 🙂 I cracked up about licking the kids ears, that is SO GAVIN!!!! I can’t even count how many french kisses he slipped in on me. :0
First, LOL!
Second, Lorie, I know it hasn’t been easy living without Gavin this past year — you have my admiration (and gratitude!) for doing what’s best for him and enabling him to reach his full potential as THE Most Handsome Dog in the World, KKL1a, SchH3, and now “V”-rated Alta-Tollhaus Gavin.
Congrats to Gavin and Bailey!!!
Gavin is a charmer and loves everyone!
Way to go Bailey and Gavin! Woohooo!!
Yay! Nice work!
Betsy
Congratulations Bailey and Gavin!
Julie, that was very high praise from this judge. He has no patience for people who don’t know what they’re doing. Good job, Julie & Crystal.
Praises all the way around!!! You guys deserved it!
