Lisa & Libby, we are crying with you as we know the awful feeling of loss too well…
We also know that Maggie was loved and had a great life with you.
“Those of us who surround ourselves with lives more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle that is easily and often breached. Yet knowing this, we still would choose to live no other way.’ – Unknown
This is such a good quote. It reminds me of something I read in a lovely article by Adam Gopnik:
“Dogs are the dignified dual citizens who plead the case for all of mute creation with their human owners. We are born trapped in our own selfish skins, and we open our eyes to the rings of existence around us… Most of the time, we collapse the circles of compassion, don’t look at the ones beyond, in order to give the people we love their proper due; we open our eyes to see the wider circles only when new creatures come in, when we realize that we really sit at the center of a Saturn’s worth of circles, stretching out from our little campfire to the wolves who wait outside, and ever outward to the unknowable.”
I’m sorry for your loss! Maggie head to the Rainbow bridge…you will find a lot of great new friends there until you can meet up with your family again!

Dogs truly have a way of wrapping their hearts up with ours. I’m so sorry for your loss, Lisa.
I am so sorry about the loss of your beautiful Maggie. This last photo really shows her beauty. I am so glad Libby was able to learn from her. I am sure Maggie was thankful that Libby was there to pass on the duties of taking care of her humans.
Lisa,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Maggie.
You, your family and Libby will miss her.
Jack’s and my thoughts are with you.

It looks like you gave her such a nice life. Maggie will live on in memory, and in all the lessons she taught Libby.

Lisa,
I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy to say good-bye. Even though you can no longer hug her, she will always be a part of you.
Lisa, I am so so sorry for loss. I was in tears when you told me, it is so unfair. Maggie was a very lucky girl to have been a part of your family, she was loved and taken care of. I am thinking about you. I know the pain all too well.
(((Hugs))))
