What a MOOSE! Lets see on average GSD pups weight 1.5 pounds at birth x 55 = 77 pounds at 6 months. Human baby 6 pounds times 55 = 330 pounds…at 6 months. Just trying to put it into perspective.
Holy Hunk!!! I think his ears are doing good—should be up in no time. Gorgeous dark face and dark eyes. A true black & red.

Awwww….come on guys, you’re gonna hurt his feelings!
Let’s just say he’s ROBUST!!!! 🙂
Love the picture with your son!
He’s looking GREAT Josie! Keep up the good work!
He looks great, Josie!! I like his form in the picture with your boy — he’s a HUNK, not a chunk!
How big do you think he’ll get? Are all of the S-litter kids this “robust?”
His ears are shaping up nicely, too. I bet his left ear will come up all the way soon — hopefully your poor husband doesn’t have to put in the forms again.
His whole existence revolves around the cat, from the moment he wakes up in the morning till he goes to bed. He doesn’t understand why the cat growls at him sometimes and whacks his face, he also doesn’t understand why the cat ambush him at times. 😀 They are pretty comical together.
I am still debating whether to put the forms in, seeing he is 6 months old- I don’t want want to regret it later. But his left ear is showing promise, hmmm.. I should do a poll. haha.
I forgot to add, they say- whatever their weight is at 6 months, add 25% and that’s their adult weight. So Koda will still be under 100 lbs.

What a darling of a pup. I like the last pic with your son and Koda. It seems to show some pleasant sign of “existence” and play.
I rather also like the second pic. The attention of Koda caught by the camera as he looks almost at you is Beautiful.
About the ears, Darth, our previous German Shepherd was also a late bloomer. I think both of his ears were not up by 6 or 7 months ( I think 7). It was cute as it always looked like we had an over-sized young puppy. His ears did eventually become erect, and he never had a problem after that. I do not recall though when exactly did his ears become erect.
My friend has a dog (German Shepherd / Schnauzer mix) and a cat, so I know the comical things that can happen. I stayed about 3 weeks with him, and I got to see how the two played. Interestingly the cat has no claws (came from shelter) so when the cat feels irritated by the pup, he smacks him but the dog thinks he is playing and bothers him more. It is really really funny.
Josie, it has been way too long between Koda updates (more please)!! He is such a hunk and has the sweetest face:) Happy Happy 6 months to all the “S” kids and a big way to go to Allie!!

You crack me up! 😀 lol
His ears are coming along nicely. I love his dark black and rich red – mahogany color.
I was going to ask you about his ears, what do you think? Should I put the left form in?
Hmmm – 77 lbs. ? Must be those Texas ribs! He looks great and his color is off the charts gorgeous. What a precious face 🙂
yup, we have happy cows in Texas. 😀 😀

@Uriel
I hope the part of Darth is somewhat helpful. Will be glad to meet you within the coming 2 months.
Are you going to bring Touffee? Im looking forward to meeting you guys!
Yes, we are planning to bring Touffee as well.
Wow!! Looks like Koda is on track to be a big handsome hunk like Roman!!
HAPPY 6 month b-day, Koda!
He is SO handsome! His brother Obie has a cute, dark face too!
Allie & Xbox sure do make cute kids!!! 🙂
Also- Obie has the same flop in his left ear…should we be concerned at this point?
I put the ear forms in at 5.5 months, I was going to put the left one in tonight but I can’t find the glue.
Wow his ears are doing really well aren’t they? I don’t have an update on her weight, Zeta isn’t quite as robust as her brothers and sisters.
Zeta wishes her siblings a Very Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Koda and all the “S” pups.
Koda is a great color and a handsome hunk for sure!
Koda is such a pretty boy…and I LOVE the expression on his face, looking at the cat!
Very handsome!! Love that dark face! Beautiful. He looks like he is enjoying life to the fullest!
