THANK YOU, Julie!!! Hopefully, that will save me from having to say, “Batman, go potty!” 😉

I’ve got it! How about “Uncle Batman?”

Sorry, Carole. Eric and I actually love the name Batman. Think about it: He’s heroic, intelligent, and has a black cape and gold markings on his chest — just like a German Shepherd!

One last thing, instead of “Go to your crate,” you might want to say, “Go to the batcave.”

Batman is a cool name. Wonder why I did not think of it.

I also like Ulysses but I thought it did not roll strong enough to distinguish well.

I like 2 syllable names as they generally have strong distinguishing sounds.

I agree! And if we want to talk about unusual names, keep in mind that one of my favorite dogs, my puppy’s grandpa, is named X-Box. Just sayin’…

LOL! I do love that name. But it really works best for black Labs.

You should name one “U2” so Nikon (registered “Bono”) has a pal!

I like Ulan- it means rain in Filipino. Uno and Ulk are the other 2 I like.

Oh my gosh, Unholy Batman- that is so funny! I am actually digging in.

This is from Orly:

Here are two more web sites with names that start with a “U”.
The first one includes the meaning of the names:
http://www.meaning-of-names.com/names/u-names-1.asp
On the left hand side you can click on “Boy Names Meaning” to sort it by male names only
You can also click on “Dog Names” to go to a diff web site for those names.

Also, the Pedigree web site has names:
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog_name_pick/117.html

Okay, it is 3:30 in the morning and I’m laying in bed awake thinking about puppy names that start with ‘U’ — and I’m not even getting a puppy — yet…
How about Uncommon something? Like Uncommon Hero?

Great, now I’m on a roll — how about Unsung Hero? I can see it now, I woke up early and I’m going to end up late for work anyway.
