Zucca has a fondness for rocking recliners and loves them so much she decided that would be a good place to whelp her puppies. The U-Litter sired by Gavin out of Zucca have been whelped there were 5 boys and 2 girls.  The second female was still-born. Final count 5 boys and 1 girl, beautiful puppies!

After 14 hours we are all done and ready to rest. Half of the puppies weighed 1 pound 7 ounces and the other half weighed 1 pound 4 ounces.

Zucca is wonderful . I love her looks and her temperament. These puppies will be beautiful and have the greatest temperaments. I think that you should keep the little girl.

Congratulations Zucca & Gavin! Julie, Zucca looks so beautiful. The pups are look very consistent. It does not surprise me that Zucca started whelping in her rocking chair!

Karen B. is right—you need to keep the little girl since you have no girls from Zucca.

I am heartbroken about the lost girl puppy. I know she was meant for me. If you haven’t named her, will you name her Nala when she is put to rest? That way, I will still have my Nala, running free in puppy heaven.

How exciting!!!! I can’t wait to see these puppies grow, very sad about the little girl who did not make it, but I have a feeling I know who she’s snuggling with up in heaven 🙂

I totally bought an antique birthing chair I found on craigslist once- my friend really wanted it and I drove that thing all the way to San Antonio. It was pretty funny looking thing.

Congrats mama Zucca and papa Gavin!

I guess I should start thinking of boys’ names now — I wanted a girl, but it seems that fate has decided that I really NEED a big goofy male puppy instead!

And I am not one to argue with fate, especially when fate looks like Gavin.

You are so right, Lorie. On a scale of 1-10 of excitement, I’m at 113.

I feel honored to have a pup out of Zucca’s last litter, and Gavin’s first!

I really feel like this is meant to be.

The hard part is going to be coming up with a “U” name, I don’t even know where you would start! 🙂

That’s exactly what I told Julie! I’m leaning towards naming him Batman. His full name would be Alta-Tollhaus Unholy Batman.

Not only that, but puppy-waiters like me never leave her alone! It’s hard to get enough sleep when you have a super stalker!

Julie’s nickname for me should be: “Hey, who’s that in the bushes?!”

Tee hee! I know the feeling, and then when the time is close to pick up your new baby, time drags on and on and it feels like the day will never get there.

The first time I ever met Zucca she was sitting up in a recliner like a person! LOL.
But I have to ask, since she had the chair did you have to take the birthing pool? LOLOL

It is Tiffany’s fault! She holds Zucca like a baby and rocks her in the chair. Zucca just loves it!

Congratulations! Julie I don’t know how you do it. Did you actually count the hours you’ve slept over the last 10 days? Doubt it will be much more than 40!!!

Gavin always looked bigger than he really was, although I haven’t seen him in close to a year, Julie would know more!

Congratulations!!! Now I know at least one other person will be stalking Julie for puppy updates — maybe we can take shifts.

Will you call your boy Max? We are naming ours Batman (much to Carole’s chagrin).

Can’t wait to see them grow (and grow and grow and grow)!
