Beautiful photos, Lies! Kira is and always will be one of my faves.
I like all the dogs but Kira is my favorite.
In regards to Kiras’ temperment, I want to tell you that my husband and I first visited Julie and Kira a few weeks ago. We did not know that Julie was in the field, and we went to the house first. Who should meet me at the gate, but a very pregnant Kira! She had NEVER seen me before this very moment. Should I try and enter the gate to get to the front door and ring the bell? I did. The first thing Kira did was nudge me to pet her! I was amazed. This dog did not know me from adam! When I went up to the door and there was no answer Kira stood right by my side asking for more attention. I just couldn’t help but pet her over and over again.
We found Julie in the field. When we went back up to the house, Julie told me Kira had 6 puppies inside her and would I like to feel her belly? I couldn’t believe Kira would let me do this….but when I wrapped my arms around her belly she stood there eager to share her motherhood with me.
Julie brought up Kaylas’ pups which were only 2 days old for me to hold. I couldn’t believe that Kira or Kayla would allow something like this….but neither of them seemed to be nervous or upset. My husband took pictures and I shared them at work…no one could believe how gentle these German Sheperds were.
I am a newbie…but I am convinced by this one visit that Julie and her dogs are one in a millon! I couldn’t ask for a better temperment for the mother of my puppy. I know that by getting one of Kira’s pups I’m getting the best quality German Shepherd out there. A breeder like this does not come along everyday. Kira, Kayla, Xbox….all of them are not only a site to behold, but are such gentle giants that they are impossible to forget in one meeting.

Roman’s mommy is soooo beautiful 🙂 He has her wonderful temperment and great color.
She is beautiful!!!!!! Nikon must have inherited that great color of hers. Her EARS are perfection!
Pam, that is funny- when we got to Julie’s house, we were greeted by Funny and Maika, Julie told us on the phone to just “come in”. I stood there at the gate and waited for Julie to come out, there is no way I was going to open that gate. 😀 Of course, seeing it was winter- Maika and Funny had the fluffy coats on- they looked massive!
Kira is beautiful but I have to be partial to Maika- afterall she’s my Odin’s mama. 😀
