Two legends. Karl Fueller of Kirschental Kennels presenting one of his females to one of the most respected judges in the world, Rüdiger Mai.
Some Italiano’s I don’t know, maybe it is just me, but ……
Remember this?:

In Germany dessert is very important, this show had a separate tent for coffee and dessert, and ALL of this was gone by the end of the show:
Garos d’Ulmental from the working dog class relaxing in the shade:
Socializing:
You be the judge:
The winner of the Junghund klasse rüden….
The last place dog from the Junghund klasse rüden….
It was so hard not to go up to this kid and pinch his cheeks:
Showing some love:
The show committee and the 4 judges, the center judge is Reinhardt Meyer the SV National Breed Warden. All wearing their best “German” faces. I do not know why but this picture brings to mind a childhood memory of Mr. Toad from the book “Wind in the Willows.”
I have no idea who this is, but we all know I like the geezers:
Great pics as usual Julie! Of course, after having 2- yes! 2 mc chicken and medium fries for lunch, I’m hungry again just looking at that desert pic!
I have to tell you, I made an apple pie on Saturday, huge 9×9 dish. It was gone by last night, me and Andrew… (I’m not gonna like mostly me ate the whole thing!!) I also made Ghirardeli sp? brownies, gone as well.
Next time you see me, you’ll have to roll me. 😀
I think you must have the kind of metabolism I wish I had. Really, 2 mc chickens and fries????
No lie! My pants are so tight I waisline is so red! haha.. I may have to do 100 jump rope tonight!
Careful, you will have to teach Odin to tie your shoes. LOL Although I bet he can untie them easily enough
That dessert spread is to die for, I can easily skip over the entrees and head for dessert!
I’ll take the last place dog over the winning dog, that is some topline, it’s awful.
Lorie, that is exactly what I did. Dessert alternating with coffee and tea no real food at all.
I agree-I’m no conformation judge, but that does not seem to fit the standard I have read.
oh my that dessert table is amazing! As for the first place dog yikes sure hope this isn’t the norm I’d take the last place dog over the first anyday.
the last place dog moved really well too, I thought he was the easy winner….
I’m glad you had an opportunity to go to this show. Just to see Karl show under Rüdiger would have been a thrill. As always, a great photo journey with you!
I miss Rüdiger Mai! He needs to come back to the USA for some judging (hopefully to a show driving distance!) 🙂
Re one of the great children’s books, look again at the picture of the center judge and then think back to the illustration of Mr. Toad driving his motorcar. This photo could have been taken on the grounds of Toad Hall. Too bad you didn’t get one of Rat messing around with boats.
some people might say there was a rat messing around with something at this show
