I tried to do this last night, but couldn’t figure out how to add the photos. She was a ham at the Detriot airport waiting for the flight home. We saw wheelchairs, walkers, leaping children and rode the escalator ( don’t faint Julie, I was holding her in my arms). She thought this was all great fun. Big sister is ignoring her, but was more interested this a.m. Woke up for 1 potty break at 2 am, then back to sleep til 6.

Just exactly what I said 2 am and 6 am for potty breaks….I am happy when they don’t make liars of you. I am sure Teal-girl thought everyone was there to see her! How was she on the plane?

She slept thru the flight. I let her out to potty in the grass before we got to the airport-couldn’t get her to go on papers before we took off, so she went 4.5 hrs before we got off the plane and onto the parking area at the airport

Did you get to hold her on her lap or did you have to keep her under the seat the whole time? Was she quiet on the plane?

Not a peep out of her-I had her on my lap til we were ready for takeoff-she was charming the woman in the seat next to me and the 2 kids across the isle. When I popped her back in the carrier, she went to sleep and that was it til we landed. She was probably tired from the morning activities w/no naps so it worked out well.

She certainly looks comfortable! Be sure that water bucket is bolted in place–these kids have the water gene, and will find excitement any way they can.

She is feeling sorry for herself now. I couldn’t redirect her from our furniture in the dining room back to a toy, so she went back to her gated area for a timeout. She has been very good on her potty training-she knows the spot means go.

She will be house trained in no time! Better get a lot of pictures—her ears will be up quickly!
Best wishes.

One of her ears looks like it would like to stand up already. When we got off of the plane they were on the side of her head, but the next day they were back up where they had been.

No joke, we woke up on the third morning of Sydney being home and both ears were up. So take lots and lots of pictures…can’t wait to see them:) Have fun with your baby girl!!!

I am bad about photos-Hubby was the one to grab the camera this a.m. to get the shot of her sacked out infront of the wood stove.

Sounds like you had an uneventful trip home, which is always good! Is her big sister another GSD? Keep posting pictures – it will be fun to see how all the “S” pups are coming along.

Big sister is a border collie and she is a little bent out of shape. I am going to let her call the shots and keep little Ms exuberance from being in her face. The cat has started to sniff her when she is sleeping. I am having a hard time coming up w/a call name.

I would like to have her formal name be A-T Samara, but the call name is still eluding me-so far she is being referred to as the sharklet.

It makes me smile hearing your stories of this little one. Like everyone else has said look quick because tomorrow she will have changed already. Enjoy.

I have a lesson learned to share with all of you. Julie asked me a question about how old Kapone was when his ears came up and stayed up, well I couldn’t remember, so I looked through my pictures I had. Boy did that show me just how much I had missed during those special, and specific times.
So yes take lots of pictures!!!!
Oh hush Carole!!! LOL
