Yesterday was the first day of spring. Via had four walks! She was a very good girl and only went up on her toes when the Kidlet was pitching balls near her but on the other side of a fence. She didn’t even bark back when barked at.
Via took a walk in the city and saw buses, tall buildings, sidewalks, earth movers, oriental grasses, a jogger, and a Corgi.
She took a walk in park next to a highway and train tracks. She saw a train, children running and climbing on the tot lot, six dogs, a mud puddle, people picnicking and angels.
She took a walk in the woods and saw a rushing stream, three tennis balls (which she collected), several bike riders, a husky in a pen, children playing lacrosse and little girls running and screaming at the playground and a jogger.
She took a walk at the ball park with the other house hold adult while the Kidlet practiced her pitching. Via saw several dogs walking (including two a cocker and a Chihuahua who charged at her barking), two teenager boys kicking a soccer ball, the Kidlet pitching softballs towards her, a herd of teen-aged boys playing basketball, a man smoking, a lot of little, middle sized and big people riding bikes and people swinging with out inviting her to join in.
At home she got to play with Blue and watch Red watch her though the window.
I can’t believe she’s only 8 months old! She has changed so much since I started reading this blog. What a busy girl. 🙂
She is looking like a dog these days instead of a puppy. Via seems to have a larger mouth and more teeth than Blue, is a bit shorter and a lot redder.
She is a busy girl, lots of things to do, places to go, and people to meet. She is beautiful Robin.
I think it is great, all the things you expose her to. Great job with her!
This dog gets out more than I do!
Robin, she is beautiful.
Yesterday she went to the first softball practice of the season. I have a lot of work to do. Running children, throw balls, people swinging bats and an pitching machine were oh so interesting and stimulating for her. She really wanted to get her teeth around a ball or tackle a child. Mean me would not let her.
Doesn’t Blue like to play GSD games?
Sorry, I meant Red.
He gets grumpy if they bump him, body slam him or step on his feet.
