Hi, Alan! Glad to see you here. Just a heads-up: there is every possibility that you may become obsessed with this blog! 🙂 It’s really a great community. Do you have an Allie x XBox puppy?
Are you still a Trooper? My son, Sean, begins an internship with the MSP (Traverse City Post) beginning in May–he’s very excited about that.
Thanks, Jil- And, yes, I already am obsessed with this blog and I don’t have a pup yet! And I have never blogged before. I will be getting an “S” litter pup (eagerly anticipating that day). I have been around dog folks for a long time, both professionally and personally, and Julie has created something unique and very special here. I’m very excited to be part this fine group.
I retired from the state police in 2005 after 23 fun-filled years (sarcasm) – it wasn’t all bad, really. Is Sean’s MSP internship with the Maryland State Police? Good luck to him! Thanks again for the welcome- I’m sure we’ll be “chatting” down the road 🙂
His internship is with the Michigan State Police–I’ll be sure to send along your “good luck” wishes to him.
We have an “I” litter Allie dog, named “Isa.” Allie puppies grow fast and have big heads! 🙂 You have only a couple of weeks or so left to wait–yipee!

Awesome dog! Love the coloring. Yes, I agree with Jil, is blog is a bit addictive. 😉
I feel bad for you, Alan. LOL. MY Allie x XBox puppy has entered teenage HELL!
Welcome to the family.

Congratulations and welcome. Our Allie x XBox pup is from the “O” litter. He is energetic, great sense of humor (I know I am giving him a human emotion there, but his expression is definitely with a sense of humor when he is playing) and loves family. Julie has an excellent program, and we love her and the way she starts her pups.

Welcome Alan. All of the puppies in the S litter are wonderful and very attentive. The hurry up and wait game is killer, but well worth it.
Hello and Welcome! I have a rambunctious 15 week old from the Q litter named Quando – call name is Odin.
The hardest part of waiting is the last 2 weeks. It is so worth it the wait, oh while you’re waiting – invest in a box of bandaids and neosporin- just sayin. 😀
@josiem
My previous pups must have spoiled me-they were only “bitey dogs” so very briefly I hadn’t even thought about that until reading the recent posts.

Thank you. I have gone through human teenage “Hell”, so I don’t imagine this will be much worse! 🙂
AL who sleeps with dogs, is husband of Karen as in Al & Karen. He is also Dad to K-Pony!

Lisa that would be nice to meet you. My guess would be that Al will be working, but maybe I can run down for a little while, I’ll let you know when the time gets closer. We are down that way a lot. Either training with Gustavo or training at Julies.
Either way I am sure you will enjoy yourself.
Welcome Alan.
We have Ivan who is an Allie pup (Allie/Ricco). He is now 16 months old.
We live on the Cape in Harwich. There are a few Alta-Tollhaus GSD’s in Massachusetts.
Thanks, Lynda. Perhaps we could meet up at some point down the line. Always looking for an excuse to get to the Cape!

Hi Alan and Welcome.
Matt and I are the very proud owners of DeNiro, but we call him Niro (now 28 months) from Allie and Gorbi. He is a companion dog, but since our phenominal experience with him, we approached Julie to see if we could take an “S” female to train towards Schutzhund titles. We are deliriously excited that she said “yes”!
There is no possible way to cure the Alta Tollhaus ‘blog’ addiction. I never ‘blogged’ before this! Now I keep checking it every few minutes!
Thanks, Andrea! Happy to hear that you will be getting an “S” pup too. I think you’ll really enjoy the Schutzhund training. And, yes, the blog is addictive. I, too, have not “blogged” before this, but I kinda like it. 🙂

Hi Alan — wanted to welcome you too — Michelle and I are new to the blogging thing as well — we have a Q litter puppy named Grizzly
Thanks, John! Happy to be here. Grizzly (as are all these AT dogs) is beautiful. Wish this month would go by a little quicker 🙂

Let’s face it. Julie is a blog dealer. Very few of us ever blogged before this. Sure—some of us might have dabbled a time or two, but that is it. Julie came along and created this addictive resource for sharing stories & photos of all our dogs. Now look at us. First thing in the morning, several times during the day, last thing at night. Now that we’re all hooked, Julie sits back and entertains herself with all of our antics—hardly has to do any of the work herself. Yep—Julie is a blog dealer. Thank you, Julie!

Are you the Al that was sleeping in the whelping pool after Allie had the pups? Do you and Karen live near Julie?
Yes that was us. We live 1 1/2 hrs away. We also have a 1/2 sister to These puppies and a 1/2 brother to the litter also.
Too bad you are so far, I was hoping to meet you when I am at Julie’s on May 3 & 4.

Al belongs to Karen…but I think he will be known from here on out as “the man in the tub”
Maybe he can be known as the dog mid-wife. LOL
LOL!!
LOL @ Julie, Wait til I tell Al this one! HAHA
You know how my eyes are. I keep seeing, “Are you the AL that was sleeping with Allie?!”
@Lisa
No- wrong Al. I live in Massachusetts.
Hopefully I got it right this time.
gosh I’m so confused now
OK..MY Al is Allen and we have Sabree and Kapone.
Now it should be clear as mud! LOL

Addictive indeed! Taking an early lunch just to check this out-hmmm.
I end up using up my quota time at work to check the blog. The company I work for does have an addiction program. Maybe I should sign up! LOL
