I am sorry about this picture quality it was taken with my Phone. I was watching the kids play with our two year old male (Luke) and I am never able to express how impressed I am with this breeds intellect and temperament!
My first GSd’s breeder told me that there was a test done with service dogs, now this is way back, probably in the 60’s or 70’s. These dogs were not schutzhund dogs, they were real deal police/military dogs. I think he said Dobermans, shepherds, Belgian M., I forget the other breeds and they concluded that GSDs are the smartest of all them, they use common sense – and that they have an intelligence of a 5- 6 year old kid. In one of the controlled test, they tested the dogs individually in one room, the handler commands his dog to sit stay- then someone “attacks” the handler. Only the GSD broke the command and went after the attacker.
Luke looks so content and happy, I bet one of the kids can ride him, he looks like a big boy!
This is an awesome picture! So precious–all of them love each other so much, it’s obvious.
Luke seems very happy to be in on the action!
What a sweet boy. He is content to have all of his “charges” around him and be in the middle of it.

Josie, that is what they refer to as “intelligent disobedience”
Are you the family that has Quinn? If so, what does she think of her big brother and visa-versa?
