Adorable pictures. Love the one on the steps and the back ground is gorgeous. I have a picture of Sabree sitting on the edge of the pool like that, it just cracks me up.

The ears are the best!! I loved how Roman’s ear position changed on a daily basis. My favorite was the teepee position. By the way, in a few months, that baby pool will be a big chew toy.
Love that ear. I swear all Julie’s dogs pose for the camera. Maybe they imprint on the camera at birth!!!!! Did the pool come w/the puppy??? Seems like all the A-T dogs have their own pools!
Lisa, you are absolutely right! Camera posing is imprinted from the get-go. If it is an Alta-Tollhaus pup, it knows EXACTLY what to do when the camera comes out.
I will have to take a photography course or something. It makes me sad now to think that the only pics I have of my other dogs are the ones from country max at x-mas. I am looking forward to getting the kiddie pool out again. My GSD that passed used to lay in it waiting for me to get home from work (border collie thinks H2O is only for drinking). All she needed was a martini.
Maybe because they are born in a plastic pool. I have bought and tried different whelping boxes, and keep going back to the plastic pools, flexible, lightweight, easy to clean.
Remember how worried Matt was that Niro’s ears wouldn’t go up? When you look at the size of them now, no wonder he was a late developer!
Play mate? Don’t tempt me!!! An Allie/X Box Pup would make a perfect addition to the household. Matt already said ‘Go for it, we can make it work’.
I just bought a Pilot like Lynda and Jack’s to transport the ‘kids’. We always travel with them in crates which take up quite a bit of room so I’m already realizing I need to invest in one of those Thule cargo boxes for all the camping equipment. Luckily the REI rebate and 20% off coupon came just at the right time!
Maybe I should have just bought a cargo van, then I could keep increasing the family with no space worries! What the heck, I should really have bought the Sprinter!
He was blue-boy —- Michelle and I would go back and forth when Julie was posting photos of the litter and she said a few times she thought it would be him—-women’s intuition !
John you said it, when I deal with an engineer-type they want me to quantify everything. I can not, most of it is gut-feeling, intuition. The more I trust my instincts the better it is.
Julie, are you saying that you must quantify everything for John? Not anymore–now that he has to put up with me! Of course, you know that I torment the hell out of him. But he is a good sport!
Grizzly has a way of helping me torment his Dad. 🙂

Karen – you double dog dare me to add to the family, or go for the Sprinter…….? 🙂
By the way, how many dogs do you and Al have now? I think I remember photographs of a couple of smaller breeds when you first took Sabree home? Does that make it four?
Yes that makes 4 we have quite the variety. A West Highland White Terrier a Pomeranian, and 2 German Shepards. Oh and a cat that thinks he’s a dog!
As far as the Double Dog Dare..No Pun Intended, can you have one without the other??? GO FOR IT!!!
We camped with 3 dogs and the cat in Mackinaw last July.. Then on our way home we went down to Julies and camped for the night and took Kapone home that Sunday.
Honestly I would do it again in a heart beat. Like with you they are part of our family( our 4 legged Kids).
You will know when your ready. But don’t go to Julies any time soon!! LOL

Julie, no one knows these puppies like you do. You spend a tremendous amount of time with them, between watching them with other people and interacting with them yourself. You have a lot of experience with this and I think you hit the mark on almost all of them, if not all of them. That’s one of the reasons I am so glad to learn things from you! Thanks again!

Have pup—pool required!

He is so handsome! He definitely has a lighter face than Odin. How much does he weigh now?
He weighed a slim 21.6 lbs today – he got his Lepto, Lyme and Rabies shot today. — he is averaging about 2 lbs a week!
Yeow! and to top it all off he gets to see ME tomorrow! 😉
Was Grizzly blue camo boy?
Grizzly was the blue boy. Blue Camo is in Indiana.
Love seeing all the pictures of Grizzly. It is so nice that you are near Carole and can go to her puppy classes.
“Hey Guys, my ears are just too heavy to keep both up at the same time!”
Andrea, brings back memories doesn’t it? I think your boys need a play mate also!

Correction, not the boys..the kids! And oh yes, I think you do. In fact I double Dog Dare YA !!!!!! LOL
All the better to hear you with MOM…When I’m not exercising selective hearing. LOL
Yes I do remember that. We had alot of fun in that class too.
Hey, if you got one of those pups you could show the pup in NASS in the 6 to 9 month class.
LOL so true Andrea.
