Volunteer helps rescue man in woods By Thomas Musgrave • Georgetown News-Graphic News-Graphic.com | 0 comments
The recovery of Ryan Larke after the 25-year-old spent four days lost in Daniel Boone National Forest is considered miraculous, and a Scott County resident was a key part in making that miracle happen.
Andrew Tackett, 32, a volunteer member of Bluegrass Search and Rescue, and his search dog Leyza found Larke sitting next to a creek about a mile from the campsite he walked away from about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26.
Thank you Del and Jean, what a story. One important thing I got out of this is, “Trust your dog” They are tuned into the surroundings much more than we are.
Great team!
That was a good story, thank you for sharing. Yep—trust your dog!
