Today we went back to Taunton, MA as Ivan was entered in the second day of the Mayflower Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club Trial. 5 dogs showed up for the Novice B class today (8 were entered) and 2 qualified. Ivan qualified for his 2nd Leg with a score of 193.5…and another 1st place!! Good Boy Ivan.
Today in lieu of placement trophies, the club is making a donation in Ivan’s name to Take the Lead.
Lynda, Ivan and judge Lynda Moore
It was such a gorgeous day today that when we got back to the Cape we all went for a walk on the beach.
Congratulations again!!! Two in a row and both first places, fantastic!
What was up with that one halt? Instead of sitting right away he circled around you and sits. It was a nice tight circle. It was very cute, and my thought was maybe you and Ivan have been practicing some free-style..could be?
Well I’m not sure what happened with that halt. I think I must have stopped too quickly for Ivan. I was impressed how he used his brain and figured out he was supposed to be sitting beside me so went around and fixed it without a word from me!! Just lost a couple of points.
No…I have not be doing free style! LOL.
As always the photos from the Cape are beautiful. Ivan is looking good!
Wooo Hooooo!!!!! I have many comments. Congratulations to you both. If this had been a three-day weekend, you’d have a CD for certain! I love his nice square sits. I laughed at the circle around before that one sit, but he stopped nice and square. You are doing an EXCELLENT job!
Now about these pictures: Lynda, you are becoming a fantastic photographer! I was thrilled to see the “I see birds” shot and the “I can fly” shot. You are becoming a master at capturing Ivan in the air. But when I scrolled down and found that naturally stacked photo of Ivan next to the water, it took my breath away. PLEASE send that picture to me in high resolution, as large as you have it!

You can certainly be proud of your boy. Ivan is quite stunning and he isn’t even a grown-up!
Thanks Carole. I am having fun training and working with Ivan and he seems to enjoy it too!
I love taking pictures. They are not too bad considering I’m using a small Canon Powershot. One of these days we will get a “better” camera but I like this little one for carrying around with me. I love the shot of Ivan when he stacked himself also and will definitely send it to you.
We are both very proud of our young boy.
Lynda, you and Ivan are the best! You both look so calm and collected – I am in awe! Congratulations to you both and please give Ivan a huge hug and kiss from me.
I noticed the circle around before the sit too, but thought maybe he was supposed to do that.
I agree with Carole – I never get tired of seeing your photographs, and that naturally stacked one is to die for!
Andrea, you are right it did look like he was suppose to do it!
Hi Andrea,
Ivan was nice and calm….I can’t say the same for me but I tried not to let Ivan know I was nervous!!
I hope all is well with you.
Lynda,
This is terrific! I am so happy for you and Ivan! Great scores – and two first places – you guys are such a great team.
How did you like the Performance Plus facility?
Hi Jamie,
Thanks. Ivan did a good job.
Performance Plus is a nice, clean facility. It is not very big, had two rings and a small area for crating but it was fine for the trial. Parking was a little challenging due to all the snow and ice but that would not normally be a problem.
Lynda, What an awesome team you guys are! Way to go.
I would also like to recognize the donations that are being made in Ivans name in lieu of trophies…I thinkj that is a qonderful thing.
I don’t know if that is a common practice in the sport or not..but it says alot for you.
Beautiful pictures!!!
Thanks Karen.
Hope all is well with you, Al, David and the dogs.
Great Job Lynda and Ivan! Lynda are doing an amazing job with Ivan! I love all your beach pictures…every time I look at them, I want to come visit.
