Today, Felix ( Alta-Tollhaus Grunewald) of the “G Team” earned his CGC. Our Schutzhund club had an evaluator come and test a group of our dogs. Felix did a great job – especially considering we haven’t been able to do much training with him this summer and fall. While its not a real big deal in comparison to other’s achievements, we’re very proud of him and the way he performed today. Next, the BH and his therapy dog certification!
Hey – the CGC IS a big deal! It shows the work you have put into him. It’s something that the public – and insurance agencies – can understand and appreciate, often better than they understand some of the other tests/trials we do with our dogs. That is extremely important and I think this is great news! Congratulations!
Congratulations. I agree with Jamie and Shane….it is a big accomplishment and you should be proud.
Felix sure is a handsome boy. What a great dark muzzle he has.
Lynda, you made me laugh! Our secret why. 🙂
Thanks guys! We are very pleased with his performance and the way he handles himself. At 17 mos. he is still a big goof, although a very handsome one! We just feel a bit like under-achievers. We know he has so much potential, but right now we have some health issues we are dealing with so we don’t have the time or energy for the dog training that we would like to have. So, we do what we can do, and so far with his SG1 and his CGC, I guess we’re doing pretty well! And yes Lynda, he is very handsome – he looks like the real thing. His nickname is Mr. Stacker, since most the time when he stands, he stacks himself. The best thing is he’s a really nice guy, he’s ours, and we love him!
Ann, this is a gorgeous photo of a hunk of a dog! It is absolutely a big deal—you have accomplished a lot in a short period of time. We are very proud of you and your G-Force dog!
When you get a chance, please post some shots of Mr. Stacker in his natural pose.
Hope you and Chuck are doing better.
CONGRATULATIONS! You have shared with me what you have been going through personally but it was not shared with everyone else. With all that you have gone through you are super achievers! You are right, an SG1 and a CGC is pretty darn good.
The bottom-line is you are working your dog and getting out and doing things. Your dog appreciates it!
