A few things I realized I forgot to mention in my original posts. Alta-Tollhaus Fenja ( Gorbi v Kirchenwald x Quellie vom Kiraschental) earned her BH with high -scoring obedience …AFTER she completed her AD – 12 mile endurance test. That same weekend she also came in 2nd place in her class at the conformation show.
I shared with all of you my excitement of Kira (Quellie vom kirschental) earning her schutzhund 2 title, but failed to mention her scores. Since her schutzhund 1 scores were all in the 90’s I felt a bit like I failed. Her scores for her schutzhund 2 were 87-87-87 , tracking, obedience, and protection. Many of the points lost were due to handler errors. In tracking she clearly stopped at the first article but I got nervous and gave her a plotz command, instead of giving her a chance to do it on her own. In Obedience I couldn’t help myself on the out-of-motion exercises I had to look back and see if she did what she was suppose to do.. I knew I shouldn’t but my head just turned and there was no stopping it. Scratch, scratch, off come the points. Protection was pretty darn good but I must have been in a hurry to do the long bite and forgot to do the rear transport…
I am still amazed at Gustavo’s ability to help me fix all the serious issues Kira and I had in all 3 phases. Remember, she had a litter of pups just 4 months earlier and I didn’t start working her until the puppies were 5 weeks old, and even then we were limited in what we could work on as she was not dried -up and not in working condition.
I am forgetting some other things, but I will share it when I re-remember it. 🙂
Those are still nice scores. Great job to both of you!
Sounds to me that you did a good job!
You go girl! 87-87-87 is auspicious! Those are great numbers – don’t let anyone kid ya.
Stop with the “only” about the scores. That was a great achievement! The rest of us could lose more points on one exercise than you did in all three parts. When you list that title after her name, it is not going to come with parentheses: Sch2 (but ONLY with scores of . . .). In one case the best score I ever got in my life was 170.5, and you are way ahead of that!
