Hello, all! I know that we have been very bad about updating you lately, but I am pleased to report that Pieka made her APDT rally debut with style this weekend. A local show did four trials in two days (whew), so Pieka began and finished her Level 1 title this weekend and got one leg towards her Level 2. In APDT, a 210 is a perfect score (there is a 10 pt bonus exercise). In five runs, our scores were: 209, 209, 210, 210, and 206. We brought home 4 first places, 1 second, and 2nd Overall High Combination for the weekend.
I just could not be more proud of the Piekster. Though I HATE to post pictures of myself, I have to do the Piekster justice, so here is a video of one of our runs:

Pieka is now officially Alta-Tollhaus Bali, CGC RL1. Thank you, Julie, for sending Pieka home with us!

WOW! Super job!!! I love how light on her feet Peika is reminds me very much of Kira. Beautiful performance. I certainly relate to you about showing my picture, I much prefer the picture of myself in my own mind then the real picture. 🙂 You look fantastic jimie, we are just too hard on ourselves. Thanks, Julie! Pieka does remind me of Kira. On a funny note, I have to be VERY careful with my spacing arounds signs. Pieka has a VERY fluffy tail, that she carries low and tends to sweep. We can easily knock signs over if I’m not careful, which is a 5 point deduction.
Honestly, her heeling is much better when we’re at “full speed”….but if I’m walking that fast, I have a hard time slowing down gracefully at the next signs!
OH MY GOSH! What a beautiful performance! You and your dog are in perfect harmony! You give me hope that I can one day do this with my Lily! CONGRATULATIONS!
