When I got my Speedlite ALL my photography became dramatically better because it was such a nice learning curve on the topic of light!
That said, I just took a bunch of pics in my kitchen using available light with a little point and shoot.

Sally looks great! She certainly has adjusted to having Kayla around. And Kayla is still the great dog she was in that famous puppy picture. Was Garbo in the pool while you were experimenting?
Garbo was in her pool. Her favorite thing to do is get soaking wet and then roll to make a lovely mud cake for her entire body. There is no way that she was up for a “portrait.” However, she does has that wash-and-wear style. As soon as she is dry, she is clean again.

I love the “correct” German coats, they are as you say wash-and-wear.
