I made a quick trip to Detroit Metro to get interviewed and fingerprinted (kind of creeps me out–now I am “in the system”). Of course passing through Ann Arbor requires a trip to Whole Foods or Zingerman’s. Today it was Zingerman’s Bakehouse.
I color-corrected these pictures, but reversed it, the warm tones seem to fit a “bakehouse.”
Now we need to be fingerprinted to go anywhere? I thought we were just doing that to other people.
Wish that bakery had been in Ann Arbor when I was there . . . .
It all looks yummy! I like the warm tones.
Your title made me laugh because it looks like you were fingerprinted at Zingerman’s.
I left fingerprints all over Zingerman’s Bakehouse and I also left with the government as part of the expedited global entry program.
I was wondering why you had to be fingerprinted….??? I haven’t heard of the expidited global entry program yet. Interesting – I’ll have to look it up.

It is suppose to make it easier when you travel and have to go through passport control/customs. I will find out next time I travel and let you know.
Thanks for the link. It will be interesting to see if it helps you next time you travel.
If the Russians accept that at passport control, you will find me on that awful third-world floor at Sheremetevo in a dead faint.
LOL you and many others. It is only good for expedited service re-entering the USA…which always goes very quickly anyway. It is getting into the other countries that the lines are so horrendous. But if I can avoid a line, I am all for it.
Ann, I laughed so hard when I read your reply! Let’s see Julie try it out with the nice folks in Berlin. She can let them know that it works great in the USA.
It’s worth trying, given the tight connections we usually have
Carole, you don’t even want to think about what a person could catch from the floor in Sheremetevo
This is so old now – puppies beat food any day. Especially the foot and the whirligig shred. I just thought I could round out your Ann Arbor stopovers. Here are my adds for fave places.
Congrats to Allie on her new babies! Yay!
Cake Nouveau – FoodTV cakes and walk-in cupcakes
Tracklements – Fish smokery
Green Pawz – Organic dog & cat supplies
Have you tried Zingerman’s gourmet candy bars? My sis has toured thier facilities with the paper (Etruth) and Peter had to call Jen and talk to her about her tour after your post. Bread looks so beautiful.
By the way, it took 3 tries before my fingerprints came back “okay” from the FBI. Guess I’ve practiced my flute too much. Really, I was beginning to think I was on the no fly list or something.
