If any of you feed Natura Company products (Innova, California Natural, Evo, Healthwise), be aware that the Natura Company was recently sold to Proctor & Gamble. While I hope that this will not affect the consumers, past history shows that this is unlikely to be a good thing – think about the decline in quality of Eukanuba and Iams after P&G bought them, though they weren’t as “premium” as Natura products to start with.
If you do feed these products, you may want to consider saving a few labels so that you can do comparisons. Ingredient changes (i.e. substituting some lower quality fillers) are considered likely and may not be “announced” on the bags. This is especially important for dogs with sensitive tummies, allergies, or other digestive issues.
If I hear about definite formula changes, I will post. I DO feed these products (EVO canned), so if anyone has more information, I would be delighted to hear it!
I was so beyond bummed when I read this….
I am so glad I switched to raw. Charlie used to get Innova.
Oh man…. Schumi does so well on the EVO and he loves California Natural as well. Boo!!!!
I am feeding California Natural right now, but also routinely use Innova. I am trying to think of a plus to P & G buying Natura out. Past buyouts have never proven beneficial. I am going back to Timberwolf Organics.
Rudi has chosen to stay with Taste of the Wild. He was interested in the California Natural, Herring and Sweet Potato, but after about half a 20 # bag he let us know he was NOT going to eat it. JH
